So I've got to level 10ish found some gear and did some quests. I am currently in Elyas Plains North fighting level 4-5 mobs and I have about a 70% chance of winning the fight. I have placed most of my attributes into Damage and a few into Attack. 

 

I notice my gear breaking quickly, thus now I am in a spot where I have no gold to repair my broken items. So I have no choice but farm level level 1-2 rats/natives but at 2xp ish per kill I need to kill 800+ to get to level 11.

 

I think there is something basic and fundamental I am missing.

Are you reasonably geared up? You might want to check your buffs too. If you're in a Guild, that ought to help both in terms of possible gear and buffs from structures and any held Relics.
