#934492 Bounty Free Publications In Bios?

Posted by WandKing on 03 June 2015 - 07:30

Definition of conspiracy - an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons; plot.

That is the reason it is unlawful in FS to trade GvG RPs...plain and simple.

As far as trading prestige goes...I myself may be an evil, unlawful, treacherous, or surreptitious player and will do whatever it takes to gain advantage on other players...including finessing other players to hit back in an attempt to convince them they will  benefit just as well as myself in the prestige swap.

Since, apparently, the expansion of the target range from ±100 did not pan out, few prestige targets are available.

Time to improvise any way a player can.

Farming prestige is not as easy as you think...especially today when one of my guildmates posted a prestige trading buddy of mine on BB for a 100 stam deleveling. I had to move to another undisclosed location to protect my butt :P

Nobody reads bios!

Having the prestige swap posted on my bio could just as well be a trap to get more players on the BB (see above about myself). (PvPers are screaming about lack in BB anyway)

PvP prestige farming is an art, just gotta know how to wine and dine your targets well  B)

#929492 Shadow Bunny Showdown & Springtime Forest

Posted by WandKing on 22 April 2015 - 05:36

I'm coming out of the closet...I am a GE sandbagger :P I believe I have  qualified in every  GE since the beginning and only get enough kills for Ruby Tier even though some events didn't make it that far. I had plenty of reasons I didn't do more, burned stam for a hunt, not enough max stam ect. This GE was different because I need common frags and the bunny gave common frags + bonus frags :) So, the amount of kills was not my concern, just frags gotten with minimum stam used. My GE kills were greater than 18K so I got a very nice surprise...EE Basket #4 :D Do I feel guilty receiving the extra basket? Hell NO! The celestial bodies lined up just perfect for me here at FS and I benefited :D

Should HCS announce this bonus or amount of kills needed to gain the bonus, I think not.

Even though I may have the usual excuse not to do more than qualify kills, I will look back and think that maybe I better do extra kills just in case the bonus pops up again :D

Thanks HCS for the awesome Global Event!!!

#909748 Santa Claus joins FallenSword!?

I say everyone should be entitled to 1 name change...this solves everyones problem not everyone is going to like their username 10 years from their join date...people grow up, change interest etc...1 name change is fair and how it should be...as for the whole thieves/scammers etc...thats your own problem thats what STing is for...also nothing wrong with starting over for those who play dirty people change and mature

I agree...I would like to edit my game name to delete the "d" out of it :D Don't have a clue how it got there :P

Happy Holidays folks of FS :D

Bildor went to great lengths to add some cheer during this season and of course it is temporary.

I'm sure that HCS would not make the change if it was to be permanent.

Of course, everyone has a right to express their opinions, even non-believers in Santa Claus :D

#899461 A letter from your new Game Producer.

I am totally floored! Hoofmaster and BigGrim have done a supurb job at keeping FS playable for my benefit :D The only thing that Mojawk will do is ruin my work that I accomplished years ago..."I champion the leveler"  B)

#896071 (very small) Composing request..

No matter how brilliant you paint a slow roller coaster, it is still gonna be slow :(

#889012 Having fun at Composing?

Posted by WandKing on 10 September 2014 - 05:36

Casually Composing  :) About 2.5 days from level 25 (goal is level 27)

Amazing how the composing has changed my game play - and my uncontrolled desire to steal any unguarded common item

before composing, I would make notes of levels I would conquer (and quests) and when I ran out of stam, hunt over.

Now I have to calculate exactly where I end up after my hunt so as to land in area where critters drop common items - not easy to do

Rebuild stam a few days, buff up and farm that area killing 1 critter at a time (without doubler) to supplement my addiction to common frags for a few days - maybe a week. I even have a few players (frag buyers) hoping I'll sale some of my person stash to pull them through

It's tough out there folks - you will  think "I'll just compose a few potions and walk away" WRONG!

You'll care about nothing but getting that frag - you'll push away your guildmates and allies (if they refuse to give you a fraggable item - you'll troll the AH for hours looking for the cheaply priced fraggable items - you'll level with the lowest doubler (or none at all) - you'll happily boast your composing level on guild chat only to find others 10 levels higher than you - I could go on but it is to painful :(

eh...the higher level composing potion are awesome though :D

Have fun all :D

#887446 That "Break Down Items" thing

Posted by WandKing on 26 August 2014 - 07:52

You are probably wondering how to get all the different frags so that you van make a potion. Like they stated above, once you get your quotas during a global frag event, you will get all the other frags to do you a long time (epic frags not including at this time). Until a global frag event shows up (which they are frequent) just concentrate on the common frags. There are formulas there in the suggested wiki article, that will aide you to cheaply farm composing xps :) How neccessary are common frags you ask? I just copied this from area where you break down items for frags

Total items in the game broken down: 8,723,922

My guess is about 90% of that total is fragged common items O.O

Players buy them, sell them, farm them and give them away yet you will never ever ever have enough common frags LOL

If you enjoy counting a 5 gallon bucket full of pennies then you will enjoy this

I hate counting pennies yet I did just reach comp level 24

Have fun ;)

#886376 Karma should be implemented!

Posted by WandKing on 19 August 2014 - 05:39

Posted 10 September 2012 - 11:45

Hey all.

Karma shall be added in due time. It will be a way of showing you appreciate the help you are given as a new player. Once in a very blue moon, players with karma will receive a gift. It won't be terribly powerful, certainly not game breaking, but a small thanks.

~ Grim

That is exactly what Karma is about...its for new players period!

I have, marked myself as a mentor since that part of the game  was added
Not for the rewards but as an additional source of info for the new player
Since it was implemented I had 3 new players ask me specific question
Even though I wanted to flood them with all the knowledge I had about the game, I controlled that urge and answered accordingly to their question
I'd get a thank you message from them if I answered their question and all is fine
K.I.S.S Keep It Simple Stupid as it is their game...not yours :P lol

#879034 If we implemented 3 FSH features, which would you pick?

Posted by WandKing on 14 July 2014 - 23:38

Can't believe how many people here actually use the combat evaluator lol.

I tested that thing a few times, even on 'adventurous' the safety margins on it were far too high for my tastes.

I could regularly destroy creatures that it told me I'd never hit and would kill me in 1 swing... Useless.

Besides that it always felt like a bit of a cheat really. I mean playing a heavily math based game like FS and then having a script do all your math for you? What's the point...

This is a very good point, even though I chose the combat evaluator as one of the features I wanted to keep.  lol.  Then again, i never was very good at math and I never trust the evaluator "completely", I just use it as a general idea of whether or not I'll get whooped by a certain creature or not.  I mostly use it for very strong creatures like SE's or elites, not much for the regular critters.

I really don't like using Counter Attack buff and I do love using Overkill buff for extra xp, especially against champions.

Since the evaluator does not calculate damage causing enhancements - Holy, Banishment, Glory Seeker ect., it is a great tool to double check my notes while I'm hunting.

(If evaluator shows I am 6K damage short and the critter is an Demon Champion, then my gut feeling is, I will 1 hit kill it and even get overkill bonus because of my enhancements)

Enhancements can only be calculate thru experience (gut feeling) not from combat evaluator.

Not to mention, gear changes from one area to the next, after leveling thru many areas in a hunt, can cause mistakes, so I glance at combat evaluator before attacking and make adjustments accordingly.

Useful in determining if NMV will protect me or if I have to buy all the SSI pots in AH.

Remember that you cannot peek at creatures with  levels higher than you are so the combat evaluator is not a win button.

It is a great tool where you are and minimizes frustrating hunts if you happen to be in a hurry or having to change gear/buffs a lot:D

#878826 If we implemented 3 FSH features, which would you pick?

Posted by WandKing on 14 July 2014 - 00:13

I use google chrome tampermonkey for FSH and one helper stopped working a long time ago..."active buffs on self" when in quick buff window :(

1) Quick Buff Display Window

Show active buffs already on player to buff and show all buffs/enhancements active on self.

Buff Master, Guild Buffer

Sustain and Fury Caster percentage

Also show current levels of Counter Attack, Severe Condition, Nightmare Visage and Barricade.

2)Mailbox

Fast take of individual Items

3) View Creature Display Window

Add "Add to the do not kill list"

Add "Combat Evaluation"

#868183 Guild vs. Guild 24hr Smack Down!!!! "A Storm is Coming...

Posted by WandKing on 12 May 2014 - 07:49

I've thought of a way to make GvGing a real challenging aspect of the game by making 1 simple addition :D
This will
1) even the playing field for all guilds, big or small
2) allow players to wear their stamina gear offline knowing they are protecting in the event of a GvG conflict attack
3) Minimize needing perfect scores as the norm allowing least loses as goal to win
4) allow guild members to have more ability to protect targeted members
5) make GvGing challenging, minimizing preying on under- equipped targets and  providing the sensation that you earned the  Guild RPs

The addition is to add to Combat Sets " Load GvG Readiness Gear"

When a player attacks, PvP or GvG, this triggers the auto-load of the preset gear so on the 2nd-25th attacks the attacker will have to deal with the new gear setup. (The initial attack will be on the original gear of course)
Now the attacker must re-configure their buffs and/or gear if need be, to continue.
To load the gear, a player places items in a special slot located in Combat Sets and saves just like you normally would any combat sets, except at a cost, say 25K gold. Now the gear is loaded, so the player can switch to whatever gear they want to have equipped for general game play.
It would be best to have an on/off switch in case the player is leveling with specific gear and gets PvPed, causing the the auto-load of the GvG Readiness Gear..

Pros
1) With more and more players equipping stamina boosting gear to re-coop burned stamina from all these events :), it is open season for easy Guild RP farming. With this auto-load function in place, guilds will have to "work" for Guild RPs.
2) No matter what buffs you put on a player that is in stamina boosting gear, you can't protect them.
Yet a guild can buff-protect it's members if the player is properly equipped.
3) For Defending guilds, this simple addition will allow more strategic planning and involvement with member's participation to the guild as a whole.
4) For Attacking guilds, they still have the upper hand because they are prepared for retaliation and their members also have the Auto-load function.

Cons
 1) If a player logs off with stamina boosting gear equipped, with the plan of accumulating massive amounts of bonus stamina and a PvPer strolls by and attacks you, triggering the auto-load, say bye bye to the bonus stamina. (hmm, what to do what to do?)
2) Just like any other items you have saved in Combat Sets, if 1 or more is removed from BP, they will not be loaded with the rest of the items.
3) Each time you load there will be a gold cost.
4)Guild leaders will have to police their members...have available PvP/GvG gear for their members to use and reminders to load their GvG Readiness Gear before logging off.

In conclusion
Which would be more exciting to you? Continue hitting the weak for perfect 50/50 scores or trying to defeat a well buffed and well equipped player(s) in an attempted to beat their guild's 27/50 score?
Having every member logged on 24/7 is impossible, yet with this simple addition every member can be virtually present 24/7.

#852847 Rise of the Wraiths (Global Event)

Posted by WandKing on 03 March 2014 - 07:37

The auto-discard was implimented before composing became a fairly popular activity.

No point getting rid of auto-discard yet it would be nice to have some sort of alert that it is on.

Maybe a flash message in map stating an item was discarded if it is on :)

I'm afraid of it so I never turned it on

BigGrim stated "Want to see how this goes as a baseline Frag Event."

An open all stash would be dynomite too !

Great artwork Zaelin! The Wraith would also look awesome on stage with an electric guitar B)

#796702 Composing (Part 1)

Posted by WandKing on 20 June 2013 - 08:26

348h 23m 57s  UNTIL THE BOUNDED GOLDEN DRAGON SET DROPS FROM MY MAILBOX

I don't understand why bounded gear/equipment can't be composed too  :o

I've bought my share of BP slots - not for the bounded equipment but for bounded potions!

Anyway, this is not going to be as easy as most might think

I'm a founder and even clearing out some of the obsolete tagged LE and SE gear from our guild I will unlikely make a single major compose potion at start

Well done FS community players for this suggestion and well done HCS  for making it happen :D
