A voice from beyond the grave offers a recap:

You all thought Thoth died.
"He's the warlord!" Pointy one cried.
"Oh crap!" you all said with a sigh.
"Now it's time for Maxie to Die!" Thoth uttered his last cry.

Thoth has died, Maxie the human has died, and we're all here as ghosts to remind you, the vamps are winning 5-0.

Another death within the night, another innocent lost to the vampires, one whom she had voted for if only to not follow the mob rule that seemed to have dominated this town since the first attack.

Blaming the lynching on attempts to route out the horror that had begun on the night they'd all lost memory didn't wash anymore. They were all killers, all covered in the blood of the innocent, baring perhaps those who first found their graves in the aftermath of the attack on Butters. Even their warlord protector had failed them, even as they had failed him.

Whether the village finally was stained with blood or dusted with ash and whether or not she walked away or slumbered eternally in a dark grave, this village would never be a home to her again...

Song stood staring out her window as the names of the dead swirled in her mind... so many just... gone. It seemed strange... some of them she KNEW she had once called friends... but those memories were wiped away now, gone, even as they were. Now who would have to die?

Dark stared at the graves in front of him.

Ayla...... Chaotix...... Tomtom..... Thoth...... Maxie...... Lilith...... Roxatha.....

All human. All dead.

It is looking grim for the village now for if so much as one more human is hanged the vampires will win this..... 'battle'. That is unless the remaining village guardians still live.... but it they might not be able to help us now.

Dark began to wonder: How is it that am I still alive? Are the vampires just letting my dig graves for their victims, saving them the trouble? Or am I just lucky? Or are the gods just forsaken me to see the fall of this village?

Still so many questions, Still no answers.

finally, one of the unholy ones has been captured and slayn. however, there were still at least two more of the beasts within the little town of stratos. despite having seen it with his own eyes, he could still barly grasp the idea that song had been among the vampires. not too long before, the same evening he had attempting to escape the cloud, and saw 'it' hiding within the mists, it was then for the first time he had seen her, it was all startign to make sense now...

returning to his home, mamori removed a staff from underneath his bed, removing the cloth which concealed it. it was time for him to do his duties, as possibly the last defender of the town's citizens...
