Some people have asked about how avatars are animated and why they can't see them. Here is some information on APNG's.
APNG's are .png image files that are animated, like .gif files.
I personally use APNG Anime Maker, but there is other software out there.
APNG Software:
1. RealWorld Paint: http://www.rw-design...om/image-editor
2. VirtualDub APNG Mod: http://vdubapngmod.sourceforge.net/
3. APNG Anime Maker: https://sites.google...png-anime-maker
4. Japng Editor: https://www.reto-hoehener.ch/japng/ (Requires Java)
5. GIF Movie Gear: http://www.gamani.com/apng.htm
6. gif2apng: http://gif2apng.sourceforge.net/ (Converts .gif files into animated .png files)
7. apng2gif: http://apng2gif.sourceforge.net/ (Converts animated .png files to .gif files)
8. APNG Optimzer: http://sourceforge.n...APNG_Optimizer/ (Optimizes existing APNG's)
9. TweakPNG: http://entropymine.com/jason/tweakpng/ (Can modify APNG's)

This was just some simple opacity changing with lightning for example. You can do things like movement, rotation, and more. Sometimes if you make more complex animations, use Apply Image to capture each frame as it's own layer and then show/hide them accordingly.
Here since it was simple rotation, I just had different layers of the rasenshuriken that I would show/hide each frame:
Here since it's skewed and I changed some other things, I applied the image each time I wanted a different frame and just showed/hid those layers accordingly:
It's the same concept, just on a different scale. Sorry if I'm just confusing you, ignore me .
