It currently gives as a reward... your choice of essence, bow, and 2 x one handed weapons.

Be nice if it could give a two hander instead of two one handers as an option, for Warriors  :)

And then there are other quests where I see a 2-handed weapon, but no bow.  Or assassin and warrior/templar gear, but nothing for a mage.  As nice as it might be, we can't have an option for every class at every quest reward.

My guess is it all evens out in the end.  And all classes get approximately the same number of chances for rewards.  Just not at the same time.

My point in asking for a 2H in this particular quest, is that it is the first solo instance in the game and a really nice looking instance too... as such I thought it would be nice for new players, to have the choice of a weapon for EACH class after enjoying the cut scenes etc. it would be the icing on the cake!

I am not thinking about myself here irradiated.... crazy right?  :P

Apologies, Mongo.  My response was not meant that way.  In fact, knowing that your main is a warrior, I assumed you didn't need a two-handed melee for any alt and this had to be a generic recommendation.

I just meant that this is the way quests work throughout the game.  And so I had no expectation this one should work differently.  But your point about this being the first big quest, a solo instance, is well taken.  Perhaps this one quest should break the rule.

No need to apologise  :)

I agree, that all quests should not cater for all classes... that would take the challenge and fun out of searching for decent gear!

Was just thinking about this low level instance... as it is a really nice visual quest early on in the game, so a nice reward for any type of class at the end of it would be cool.

This quest is the quest that puts you out on your journey, adventure or whatever. Its the first superbig thing in the game. It even asks what class you where (not that it matter in rewards at this point). I think this quest shuold be tweaked a little bit so that when you chosse a class you will get to choose from a few rewards that fits into that class you choose.

Melee stuff for Warrior, Ranged ro Archer, Staff/Essence for Mages or something like that. So you can get the feeling you are set to go the way you wanted to.

By then it really doesn't matter, as you get the Blade of Mercy at the same level.

And Mongo, gratz on having a beta post become relevant again :)
