One post per person, no longer than a couple of paragraphs.

Describe in as few words as possible the next update you would like to see. Preferably the update you think would have the biggest impact. I'll select the next update I do from this thread the next time I have time to spare.

New gear purchasable with Warfare points, including but not limited to

-gang armour (lower level) as alternate to casino armour for levelling

-gang armour for level 80s, only slight improvement to stats (gang restricted)

-gang amulet (restricted to one per char like weapons)

do NOT make "unique" anything, we need gamewide content not something for a small handful.

game cross-over rewards.

ex.

getting level 10 in fallen sword gives you an adventurer char design in legacy

etc for getting level 10 in eldevin and vice versa.

I dabbled with fallen sword a little bit and I noticed they borrowed a few mechanic from legacy. I would love if legacy did the same. Such as, if our Warefare could take from FS's world map as far as movement, and attack system. It would definitely make it a little smooth even though WL is a much smaller scale.

Biggest impact would be:

- Putting some effort into fixing the DF gang might bring back some sense into WL, the main feature :P

Surprisingly, new skills failed to generate more activity in the long run. From my experience in other games I think introducing new armors and weapons requires playtesting and creates disbalance that is only fixed with more patches. What players really need is:

- New challenges: new options in WL like new building options, mobile and armed  HQs ( :o ) that can be used like tanks, new tricky map that has a wandering boss that drops a valuable item...

- New mini battlefield inside the hive ( 5x5 WL minimap ) !!

Warfare revamp, which can consist of any (if not all) of these things:

1.) A few more WL maps with intricate or elaborate changes that occur such as the temperature map or rotating bridge map.

2.) New weapons/armour that can give a special boost to WL fighting.

3.) Level 80 Gang Weapons which can effectively fight against Crystal or Tyran Avatar weapons.

4.) Wasteland achievements. Preferably easier than the ones Steven proposed a couple years ago, those were a little too difficult.

The biggest thing I'd like to see in legacy are more items and wearable choices.

All avatars have pretty much the same gear and aim for a titan, 2 scythes and 2 amulets.

You can add more items but either adding items( Such as more armors to craft\hunt) Or adding enhancements to items, could be reforged using credits and crystals to get better stats.

It will be a great influence in the game and it's not hard to do.

Personally, I'd like to see the tier 2 avatar items, the largest base of your active players are avatars, or have been hitting avatar in just a few short weeks/month That could also include other aspects of the game, as Stevens previous threads in legacy have shown It's just a shame I'm not that active anymore to enjoy an potential update of this size

Bring back spectral equips.

This would take next to no time, but I thought people hated Spectral items... :/

Perhaps a vote is in order for that. In my opinion if it were done in moderation, the event(s) would be quite enjoyable.

-Quests/New NPCs (preferably targeted towards avatars) may add some depth to the game.

-Tier 2 Av Equipment which could be tied in with quests (perhaps slotted for various upgrades)

-The game crossover idea does sound worth looking into

Having Spectrals once every WL map for a period of 48 hours is in my opinion a good addition to the game.

Being able to upgrade your Avatar gear with crystals(fires increase damage, greens boost health) and being able to make your own mix of stats to your weapons and armour. Unlocking a slot on a piece of gear would then cost certain things, experience, credits, platinum or a mixture of the afore mentioned.

Armour expansion: Again a rather simple expansion with effect on a large scale. Every piece of armour currently in Legacy available will get a matching pair of gloves/gauntlets, a helmet, greaves, legs, boots and of course the currently availble cuirass/chest. This would create some depth to the item system and it open up a credit sink making levelling possibly a longer process. It'd also work well with the afore mentioned upgrading through use of crystals and combinations of crystals. More pieces of gear means more upgrade slots to unlock and thus more varietion in stats.

Expanding the current set of combat stat enhancing abilities(Target practise etc.) with another 5 levels, these could all take as long as the current level 5(+-50 days) this would give avatars something to train and create a bigger gap between starting avatars and the more seasoned ones. It'd grant a bonus for those who stick around. In light of this idea we might be better off with Ability point weekends rather than double exp. weekends. In these Ability point weekends any kill made, be it in PvP, WL or in hunting, will have you rewarded with an amount of ability points calculated by the amount of Experience gained.

The first idea isn't particulary small but it does build on our current item system, coming up with something that would link sertain combinations of crystals to the unique item code of your item shouldn't be too complex. The armour expension would simply add to our current item system which should be extremely easy, the only things that needs to be re-designed are profiles and inventories.

And last but not least, the expansion of our combat abilities by another 5 levels per ability would also be adding on to an already existant system.

I have two Suggestions that I think would make the biggest impact (from order greatest to least):

1) Optimize Legacy for Mobile.

  • We all use phones (those that have cellphones) and the site is hard/annoying to use on a mobile phone because of of the tables (I love the table format, but phones and tablets hate it, and prefer table-less format) and other formatting designed for a PC. It would increase activity because people who are at work or don't have access to a regular computer can access legacy easily on their phones/tablets.
  • There are plenty of sites that have their own mobile alongside their regular site, they use less data and use simple formatting designed for mobile, Legacy should get in on that.

2) Fix the ease from getting from level 40 to 80.

  • People at level 100 shouldn't be attacking users at level 39-48. Make it truly: canYouHunt = (level/2) - 1 , for all levels after level 80. Make it harder to get to level 100.
  • Revamp the casino system, or at least have another way to get a magma plate.
  • Add a monthly rare/epic prize lottery to the casino, where people can buy unlimited tickets with so many coins per ticket, like 150-600 per ticket. That way the have to win at least a game or two before they can grab a ticket. (Or spend creds on getting coins).

Great suggestion for mobile design.  I recall when Legacy had it's last major template design.  http://www.w3.org/Mobile/ ! :D

Expansion on the Avatar system, whether that be updates to equipment or hunting bosses/drops.

Considering the vast majority of the active playerbase is Avatar, and most of them have the same equipment, I think this is a good avenue to go down.
