Zorg is maybe on holiday, still searching for eggs :)?

The last couple of newly spawned arenas included L.2912, L.3045, and L.3121. As no new content for leveling has come up to trigger higher Arena levels, somebody of the Cows must have been playing with the Arena buttons....does this mean we get an Arena update :)?

Zorg is working on the game.

 

The Arena is not due an update yet. Other things have priority.

Ok, those old items are already flooded on the market anyway, so no reason to give then as prizes.

But please HCS, do the follow:

- Implement Gold tournaments again.
- When new items were introduced, DON'T ALLOW TO BUY WITH TOKENS, make then tournament prizes only, and again, when new-new-items were introduced, the old-new-items go to the Token Shop.

That way the Arena will be alive again, without people flooding the market.

This thread is a repeat of a thread from 1-2 weeks ago.

 

- do not change the 25% rule. It's fine the way it is.

- add gold tourneys to get more interest

- increase the number of lower level tourneys to get more interest

- see my suggestions in previous thread on the same topic 1-2 weeks ago

Many threads are repeats :) I never posted about this before. Just had an opinion and expressed it. Did I think it would do any good? Not really, but you have to try.

I think it's reasonable enough but we have other reasons for the removal of the old system. It's certainly something I can discuss with Hoofmaster, Zorg and Mojawk.

Thank you Grim for your reply on this thread...and thank you for talking with the other Cows on behalf of us Arena players...that is all we can ask... ;)
Although what you were replying to has no concern about this forum it still means a lot that your listening

We'll not be changing the current Guild restrictions I'm afraid. They were implemented for a reason.

then whats your take on combining the 2 systems? Make item and gold arena spawn, let the winner have the prize and runnerups have tokens? Make the old items purchasable with tokens. That way every time you create new items you can put the old ones in the market for tokens.

If the issue is that players dont win enough to keep their interest in the arena, how is only giving the new items to the winners going to help the arena? 

 

Seems like a change that will only keep the same players winning, only making more FSP as the new items will be in higher demand.

Thats just my opinion and suggestion, but if you have played arena before, you know that anyone can win. Shin said he has a 5win/35lose ratio, im sure I have a very similar one too. And I can guarantee nagoyaka probably the most active arena player right now doesnt have the other 35/5 ratio. And the same ones keep winning because the same ones are the only few playing atm. But ofc experience makes you win game more, thats why I was also hoping to see some arena with the same prizes which are only for those that do not have the arena medal yet or a fixed amount of arena wins, to give the new arena players a chance to get on board and get to know how it feels like to win a prize. I didnt mention this in this thread but in one i posted a month ago.

 

I hope when HCS reworks the arena a bit, that they would also have a look at the combat moves. Defensive setups have a lot higher chance of winning than any other setups. Freeze/Piercing Strike is so overpowered, you are guaranteed to lose as armor setup if you cant place one of the 3 counter attacks correctly, so pretty much 70% win chance for def setups; there is no move of removing that high amount of defense. But thats maybe another topic

If the prize is an Item, 2nd or 3rd4th (according to the size of the tournament) should stay winning Tokens, just like the original Token Idea posted by shindrak years ago.

For me the best thing HCS can do is remove the Token prizes (maybe keep a few tournaments with Tokens as prizes), but bring back the old prize system, giving Tokens to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th finishers.

Tokens should be a consolation prize, not the Arena currency, but that`s my opinion.

I believe that is one most desirable features HCS can implement, and I'm saying this for almost 2 years now.

This I like! Nice suggestion ..  I know it was suggested before , maybe by you Epic .. hopefully it garners a response/action ..in time.

The arena already calculates the # of guildmates internally we just need it externally for us to see prior. Maybe make another column next to the # of participants in the arena. Call it # of guildmates or something with like 0/1 0/2 0/4...

How much time is actually wasted clicking on one of the saved sets? I only play certain level arenas and even with as many members of my guild that play arena I still have yet to come across a problem not being able to join any. Not saying this doesn't happen or obviously the thread wouldn't have been made, but 15-30 seconds doesn't strike me as alot of time.

The problem is with small players, with small BPs, the player see a tournament, recall gear from the guild, gear up, try to enter and is not allowed to. So he need to send all the gear back and try another tournament.

The Green Light aside of the tournament would be a great addition for the Arena, for sure, but most players would not need it anyway.

Most people don't own all their own gear. This wouldn't be changing the arena at all....
