Piercing has alloy tipped and thorn darts, flame gets inferno rounds and flame pack.
What is everyones preference? I didnt notice piercing had 2 types but for flame I always liked to imagine the "pssst" when attaching the lil tank of the flame pack.

And why did those 2 types get extra ammo but no others I know thorn darts were used to invent was flame the same?

Indeed. The flame pack is used to assemble the flame burst, which is used in the lvl 103 and 105 missions.

The type of ammo you use depends on your preference... I always tried to pick the option that seemed to best fit the weapon. For example, way back when I used the Lava Rifle Mk1, I would use the inferno rounds, (picturing a rifle the fires incendiary rounds). Later on, when I used the sunstorm arc, I used flame packs (since the weapon seemed like more of a straight-up flamethrower).

Another example would be when I used thorn darts for the Clarnik Needler Mk2, thinking that it fired more dart-type ammo. The alloy tipped bullets seemed a more appropriate choice for most of the pistols that used piercing ammo.

Just a little insight into how my mind works. :ugeek:

flame pack? nothing can compare to rounds... Those tiny fast friends are reliable. Did you ever try a flame thrower with wind coming from front? Beware...:o
