Crafting is really boring. If you are making 2k bars it takes hours.

So my suggestion is to have 2 logouts. Logout would log you out as normal and Logout Continue would let you logout so you can go to an alt but continue crafting. Of course you would have to set up all your sacks and stuff so it didn't drop on the floor but that is up to you.

As much as I'd like this, I think it would be a bad addition to the game.

I once played a small text-based online RPG that operated on a sort of 'energy' system, you input energy to do an action which had a timer associated with it. Once the timer ran out, you got your items or finished training or whatever. The reason for the game's death was that the best way to get levels was to login, dump 100% of your energy into an action that might take 5 minutes per unit, x 100 units, and you get an 8 hour + timer before you can do anything else. So everyone just logged out while doing anything, then the game died.

Yes, the above example is a bit drastic and not completely applicable to Eldevin, but the principle of allowing people to logout of the game (whether they then log on an alt or not) and continue to perform an action makes people stop playing the game (temporarily). Having reason to log out of the game, is generally not a good thing.

Having a way to speed up processing of material especially when overleveled would be better in my opinion. For example: Processing fiber/wool into cloth, if you're level 1-16, you process jute at the current rate, but once you get to 17-32, you can process jute twice as fast, while you process flax at the current rate. Once you get to 33-48, you process jute at 3x the rate, flax at 2x the rate, and cotton at the current rate.  Then apply a similar theme to other skills.

Ood, i think the opposite

you are a bit screwed if you want to craft a couple of K of something that takes hours

while you are crafting you can't help others run dungeons

ok you could participate in world chat but i don't go in there much

so i could go down the pub for 2 hours

or save it till the end of the day and stack it all up and go to bed

but people do "stop playing the game" while they are crafting

there is Bulk crafting on raw mats but i want my little alt to get the maximum XP so i never use that

i guess the reason you can't login twice on different alts is to stop botting, collaborating or trading between alts (although that would be nice)

so that is why i thought of logout and stay logged in

you could only do crafting on an alt that is 'logged out but in' and couldn't interact with your alt in any way

maybe not even allowed in the same building or area

but something would be helpful for levellers
