Can someone please tell us what is the range of this variance?

This is just crazy variance... would be better if they make it just 0-1% more or less that would be enough variance damage if the stats was exactly same....According to my calculation Shindrak's damage reduced -18.88% from what it should have been.... whilst mine increased by a whooping 26% .... variance???...
Can someone please tell us what is the range of this variance?
But seems that's one of the reasons not much players join arena or quit this gambling.

Could the damage be so different that the Power attack increased that much % more than the other?
Power Attack increases by a % versus PA? (it doesn't say that in the description, but it still could.)
Or maybe PA increased with a % no matter what, as it does for every hit after that hit.
That, plus some mysterious variance could get the damage up that much?
I hope one day HCS will mention the variance % and the fatigue loss % in the description of the PvP Arena guide area.
Could a Hooved member comment on this thread?

My stats was 5.5k arm 8k dmg , and venom 5.4k arm 7.8k dmg
i had 300 more stats on arm/dmg with forges...
The points why "Forges" useless/waste of gold and why this Variance too high?*Question for cows*

That's within 5% variance (barely) assuming you're rounding.
Your effective damage could be reduced by 5% to 7600. Venom's effective armor could be increased to 5670. Your damage would then be 7600-5670, or 1930, then doubled by PA to 3860.
You got the very bad end of variance, but this is not a huge aberration.

In my opinion, it's about time this outdated system was given a revamp.
Either drop the costs or improve the benefits.

Yep.Heh, I thought this thread was referring to forging in general.. It's not exactly 'useless', the benefits of forging are however pretty minimal when compared to the costs though, especially up at the higher levels.
Again. In my opinion, it's about time this outdated system was given a revamp.
Either drop the costs or improve the benefits.

The variance is currently +/- 5% for both armor and damage in the PvP Arena.
Why the variance is needed now?

Hello Hoof,
I can prove that its not +/- 5% using the stats used in the tournament mentioned by Shindrak..

after seeing this, i don't know if i should forge my gears anymore lol
you forge your gears I have never bothered with crafting and forging... especially with so many non forge torunies...
Imagine early Rome... a gladiator comes to the arena and says since i don't have proper equipment will you have another arena for me where i don't have to face the guys with good gear ...

Would be better if you lower it hoof... to +/- 1% when the stats exactly same! ...The variance is currently +/- 5% for both armor and damage in the PvP Arena.
5% too much and makes arena rely on too much luck
I prefer to see it all removed... I forge/craft my gears to get better stats not to waste my gold.
