Hey guys, I'm experiencing major lag to the point of the game being unplayable. I'll just give all the possible notes I can on how I've troubleshot the problem

 

- I reset my internet connection.

 

- I did an internet speed test on my end, everything appears normal (typically very fast internet at this location).

 

- Web pages load very fast, as they normally do.

 

- My ping is around 98 (fast) and my FPS is around 60 (very good).  So neither of these appears to be the problem.

 

- The problem exists in Azraq Desert as well as any place else, and there are virtually no players in Azraq Desert.

 

- My CPU usage is averaging around 40% and my physical memory is at 66%.

 

- The problem exists both though the Steam client and the regular client (with Steam closed).

 

- The problem does not get any better the longer I am online.

 

Not sure what the deal is.  Please help. 

 

Further Update:  After doing some tests with other players, I am moving just fine on their screen.  I am reaching a location at the normal time I would reach it but on my screen I am not even close to it.  Essentially, the rate at which my client is receiving and processing information is extremely slow.

They are aware of it Doja, I have the same problems so it won't be your system/net. hopefully they can fix it soon.

512 player's online time log in, see if my old pc can handle massive player base.

 

Before when had 300 one sever moved like snale with hardware upgrade's hopefully work out.

We are aware of the issues, they are on our servers and it's simply due to the mass players clustered together at the start of the game, we are doing everything we can.

Update:  Problem solved.    I restarted my computer and that fixed the issue.  No clue why this worked as my computer had only been on for several minutes when the problem occurred.  Guess it might have been an unexplained mystery on my end.

I guess I will try what Doja did and restart my pc before logging in again  next time I am playing if my lag issues still occur. 

 

I already figured it was the influx of steam players since I tried EU and US server and had same issue.  I"m in US so I thought maybe it would improve but not really.   Still had slowing issues.     I can't say if it occurred on Ocean. I popped on earlier in the morning for a short time.  I think I was having a bit of lag there as well.

 

looking forward to the solutions if Eldevin's population remains 200-500 players .  

 

oh and I tend to play on EU and US and hop to Ocean now and then too since I usually don't have lag issues for the most part on any server so this was very noticeable.

Geting slow motion issue right now tryed every thing other then log in via web browser.

 

Restarted pc - preload file's - Cleaned up pc. Still get slow motion isssue. runing then slow's down speed's back up. pinh arohnd 100 - 110 on averge check during slow down  ping still same,

 

Not sure what casusing slow motion. Slow down speed up geting very hard to play speed slowing down then speeding back up.

 

Tryed using safed mode still have issue.

 

tryed lower viwe disatance , nothing working last see if web browswer work's.

 

Note game was running fine till enter TA go kill PL.

Would you suggest clearing java cache? or is it only from the cluster of people joining server?

 

I know when there were few people joining, there were major lag spikes but very rarely would it happen.

Beta versionofpreload has clear catch option. used it and then preload file's and valiation few time's over.

 

Log on browser look's like slow motion stoped. Look's be client based issue.
