cult experience?

im wondering how the xp you donate towards a cult is figured out. since ive become a supporter and joined a cult, ive gained aprox 2 million xp for myself, yet my cult experience is roughly 400k. i was wondering if theres a specific amount of your own xp that gets added, or only xp from quests, etc...

The only xp that is added is the BASE xp you earn from monster kills.

Mining XP, quest XP, bonding XP, and any xp earned from modifiers such as Dark Rage and Frenzy do not count towards your Cult XP.

i think i know what Ery meant by no mining xp -- he's right. xp that goes to your mining levels doesn't count. but if you get mine fighter skill, and you happen to kill a buncha mine critters while you're pickin' your axe in the hard hard earth, that xp counts. ;) (had to clarify, just to make sure)

Cults have been wanting mine figter XP to contribute to cult XP, but sadly, it doesn't.

the xp from miners is all mining it should count... its only fair. thats their lively hood, maybe it should go towards lowering the cost of cult upgrades... so that the more miners you have the cheaper things are to reflect the hard work they do at gathering resorces?!!! should that be in suggestions? :shock:

I am not sure of all the implications though.

Like many cults have most all of the important upgrades in the first few months. So what then?

I think I need to think about this. Game play vs rp effects can be tricky things

Ok, I thought about it and it would be an interesting secondary effect as long as mine fighter provided cult xp as well.

I think part of the issue with mine fighter xp showing up as cult xp is that it is so little.

I forget the % that goes to cult xp, but lets say its 10%. 10% of 5 xp is going to = ?, 0 or 1 depending if hoof rounds up or down.

Definetly miners want their hard earned mining xp going to cult xp.

No question of that.

The question is will the feature you purpose offset the lack of xp and make them worth more to cults.

i dont see how it could not. certianly there are more upgrades for the cult sqares planed for the future... it would be a great way to allow the miners a more active role and make them more valuable to the rest of the comunity. still drunk from frontal lobe brandy.
