The proc of  "chance on hit to cause target to flee" sometimes resets the monster and gives them full health.

 

It happens randomly, i have seen it pretty much on everything except dungeon boss's.

Most of the time the fear is normal, but sometimes you get the bug.

You also get the "Fear does nothing" bug.

Both bugs are recorded in the video below.

 

 

Here is the item i have that is causing fear.

You will notice that after the fear wears off, after the bug happens, another fear procs but it does nothing.

This is also a bug, sometimes i see Fear debuff happen and it does nothing, the enemy will still charge towards me, unless it is actually fleeing.. but in my direction.. although i have had monsters continue to punch me when the fear is on them.

 

Note my tiny Radar..

Apparently my monitors resolution is too much for the game, and the Radar UI and MAP UI don't scale with resolution.

If you read the description of simple menus it states that it will automatically perform the action in a menu with only one option. Because of the option to add bait when you are fishing, the simple menus does not apply as there are 2 options in that menu.

Waste of time. They just need to get rid of set bonuses and boost stats on heroic armor so people can mix and match.

 

Why not smaller sets similar to sets in fallensword where only 2 or 3 pieces completed the set. So you could be wearing say 2 full sets, that way you could go for 2 offensive, 2 defensive or a mix of both.

 

These.  I'm really getting sick of the current itemization.  There is 1 "best" gear for all classes, you can't really replace a single piece with anything because everything is made of sets, and there are no unique set bonuses anyway, it's all stat boost, most of which are not "required" but convenient (10k hp rangers without putting a single point in vit kills the concept of a glass cannon, not to mention a teeny tiny 100 dps penalty for wearing a shield makes them pretty overpowered).  There is something wrong when the rangers have 10k hp, while the tanks have 13k hp.  25% difference in hp between tank classes and the "glass cannon" class.

When you cast a spell, it will finish the animation associated with it, even if you move (which will interrupt the spell).  This is true for all spells.  It's of course most obvious with ground targeted aoe spells like Benediction and Storm.  However, this also applies to instant cast spells such as black fang and detonate.  If you cast it and move before the animation is over, you will fire a shot that deals no damage, and your spell will not go on cooldown.  This also applies to basic attacks; attacking with an essence requires you to stand still for 0.6 seconds (1.66 attack speed) for the animation to finish before you will deal the damage.  This is precisely why a crossbow is the ultimate weapon for kiting, and why bows are absolute trash in comparison.  Imagine you have to stand still for 0.8 seconds each time you do a basic attack while kiting, even slightly longer for "instant" cast spells - you do deal double the damage each attack, but the problem is that whatever you are kiting will kill you in between shots.

Life steal does work on Old Tooth. However, due to the reflect damage mechanic that he and his minions have, it is displayed in a strange way:

 

Let's suppose you have a 42 life on hit weapon, and hit a monster for 1000 damage. You steal 42 life on hit no matter how hard you hit, so the base life you gain is 42.

 

Suppose the monster has a reflect damage attribute of 5%, though. You would theoretically take 50 damage for a 1000 damage hit.

 

In this case you will display as stealing no life, and take 8 damage.

 

I noticed this after trying various weapon swaps against Old Tooth. Also, note that some of his minions have a MUCH higher reflect damage percentage sometimes. I believe one of the smaller crocodiles is usually more 'thorny' than the others. This can especially play a factor when on DPS classes with heavy-damage AoE attacks such as Storm or Maelstrom.

I see you're on the stage of New Ideas where you need to deliver the explosives to Guard Kielan. I also see a 2x2 gap in your inventory which is where the explosives may have been? Dante told you to be quick, didn't he? ;)

 

I believe that when you pick up this stage you get a status effect that's a timer for the explosives going off. 20 minutes I think it was. It's removed if you hand the explosives over in time. I'm not positive the quest still does this, but I know in beta we used to blow you up if you weren't quick enough.

 

I suspect that was the case here. :)

Hooray for a fix... even if only a temporary one!

If you don't want to bother with the shield, go to 'about:config' and change 'security.mixed_content.block_active_content' to false.

 

Warning:  This disables the new feature entirely, on all sites.  Instead of the shield, you get the unlocked icon as a silent warning when a secure site sends you non-secure data.

 

 

I'm at Snow Leopard and can't update to Lion because of some project-related circumstances. Is there a way to allow the game to run on Java 6 instead?

Don't have a mac anymore, so can't test it.  But maybe this will help?

i use firefox nightly and windoes 8, i'm going to try the wife's laptop to see if i can play there. if so it might be the browser.

 

 

ok i can play on the wife's laptop which is windows 7 and firefox, and just tried my google chrome and can play so it must be the nightly browser thats not working with java.

Hey, thanks for this :D It is intended to work on mobs but we need to identify which mob attacks are spells and ensure they have a fallback melee attack. Little bit of work to do on this for us. On the flipside we're also going to get more mobs with their own silence abilities to mix up combat in the higher levels a bit!

Could you open up your spell panel (by pressing B in-game and clicking on the spell tab) and let us know what happens when you click on the Incinerate spell icon?
