so as I've been leveling the last 3 levels I've noticed my spell haste is decreasing every time i level.. i put all my points into sorcery (which states increases spell haste)

at level 37 i had 50.71 spell haste.. and as soon as i leveled to 38 and put my points in i had 50.63 spell haste...

not big numbers but i can't understand WHY i'm losing haste when it should be increasing...

As you level up you need more points in certain attributes and stats to keep the same values, these diminishing returns allow for more tiered and powerful items at higher levels. This is indeed working correctly, and I hope this makes sense ;)

so you need to change the description when you hover over the attributes as Sorcery says increases spell dodge spell haste and spell damage... it doesn't say decrease.. :/

i don't know if i'm interested enough to want to learn how to play all over again.......  how am i supposed place my points now to get my increases??

Sorcery does indeed increase those values, maybe I explained it badly.

At level 1 - 100 sorcery would give slightly more haste than the same 100 sorcery would give at level 40. This allows us to give you more powerful tired items at high level. If you look in your founder art book you will notice some sets that are not yet obtainable. At level 50 we're working towards multiple "tiered" sets, so you can keep obtaining better gear with more attributes and you'll be able to become more powerful without it becoming game breaking. This hasn't changed since launch.

I think it basically works like this Crofil  :) ...

So that our spell haste does not become crazy overpowered at level 50, when we level up our Sorcery stat (through armor and level up points etc) we still gain the Spell DPS as intended, but our haste would increase at a slightly reduced rate/level ratio.

Allowing more powerful Sorcery stat armor and weapons at level 50, without us being able to gain 100% haste!

Well I think that's what it means  :D

Yup, I think Chris may have explained this perfectly.

Current we are working towards having multiple sets with increase power and stats at level 50 which will allow you to continue to progress in dps / haste.

There was talk of implementing haste gems, if this is something the community want we could look at adding them.

We will have new types of random stat bonuses coming with the next game update (possibly next week)!

i'm dreading haste gems... but i may be over thinking it i guess....   but my thoughts are currently we can get lower stat staff with a double haste roll  OR we can get a higher stat staff with LOTS more focus for more crit so we have to choose between haste and crit balancing the 2 builds out.... sure crit mages hit me twice as hard but i'm hitting twice as fast so in the end its around same dmg....

add haste gems and everyone gets to use the better staff AND get their haste up... got rid of balance between 2 builds and made it 1 common build between all casters...

although i dont think we should turn this thread into another debate haha so kk haste works like crit its not a static increase its a variable increase the more you actualy have the less each is worth..
