i keep getting the message 'character data invalid' when i try to log on, any ideas as to a solution?

now getting a message saying 'terminal error loaded data' before i get to the login screen?

Just tried logging in since the new patches, and getting error message at login screen:

 

Terminal Error Loaded Data 0%

Total Progress 40%

 

And it freezes at that stage. Have cleared browser and java cache, and rebooted. Same error.

I almost get this error sometimes.  Not sure at what point exactly, but the symptom of starting to load and then freezing is the same.

 

But I just move the mouse around a bit and it starts up again.  No buttons, leave the browser and tab selected.  I do it so automatically that I don't even think about it.

 

Very strange behavior.  

 

Most likely you've already tried this, just looking for possible causes of the error.  But any information might end up useful.

Looked more closely.  The 'almost error' happens before the 'loading' screen ever appears.  A couple of seconds after I click login, firefox stops (the page activity icon stops) until I move the cursor around.  It doesn't matter if I move the cursor during those couple of seconds, I have to wait until it stops loading.

 

I now have even more doubts that this is relevant to the posted error.

i have the same problem here..while loading the bar stops at almost 50% then in screen terminal error loaded data while loading realm...

If you are getting terminal errors I would recommend clearing the cache:

If you still think there's an error you should post your log from the java console:

http://www.java.com/...javaconsole.xml
