I just realized that the rope tying loot bags shut is a different color depending on what type of loot is inside of it.  I was just killing pigs to skin and not opening any bags since it's either ham or soda bread (white rope).  Then I noticed one with a green rope so I opened it and found a Copper Hand Axe (fine axe, green name).  Either my drops have been so terrible for me to not notice, or it's such a small graphic I was blind lol.

 

Any other neat little things like that I may have missed along the way so far?

Thank you for pointing this out!  No more running around, opening every bag 'just in case'.

White - General

Green - Fine

Blue - Rare

Gold - Heroic

 

If you have multiple bags on top of each other (more sparkles coming out the top), you will need to open them because something good could be hiding under all those General drops!

When doing mass farming and you get a coloured bag drop sometimes there is the item plus the normal common drop. My advice, take the meat (or whatever random drop it is) out of it too. If you dont the bag stays the same colour (green/blue/orange) and you will keep coming back and opening it. I have done this so many times, lol

1 thing to add though quest items produce a gold ribon bag also
