I was just curious if there will be a choice of races for people? I know there are classes/paths to choose from, but I thought it would be great to choose a race if possible.

 

The standard at the moment is Human, but is there any thoughts on races later on in the developement like Dwarves, Elves, Half-elves etc?

It contains the answers for this, and maybe a few others you are wondering about.

I understand ur idea there, but it might not work in this game since we have a "classless" system. And that would cut a big part of the freedom that the player has. For example, I like playing as human and mostly warrior, but if this applies It would basically leave me frustrated since I dont like playing as a dwarf .

This is an interesting idea but I like to combine any class with any race as Kaendor pointed out.

Let's try for something unusual and interesting you don't find in other games. Simply a "warrior, mage, and healer" is the classic thing in every game and it is now just vastly boring. A classless system is better. Same goes for races: typical races like humans, dwarf, and elves are just fricking boring. Keep the humans but try for something more interesting than dwarves.

How about humans but different skin colors & hair colors.  Purple skin with yellow hair.  Blue skin with white hair.  Something that would make you look unique but still human.

Installing races means that u need quests for each race for example u cant now play Eldevin Army Quests with being a dwarf... so it ll be a bit hard.... I guse ur idea should be changed into guilds ...

maybe havin a talent/skill to temporarily transfer ourself to some other creature (animal) with special abilities while in alter form

May be changing is a good idea for some but not for ranger ....

Anything but the usual elf, dwarf, half-elf snoozefest. I would choose to play an anthropomorphic snail-woman leaving a slime trail all over the countryside before I'd be excited about the same old races available through 90% of other MMOs.
