Thank you BlissMiss for your clarification, that is exactly what I was attempting to describe!  I apologize for any confusion.

#869166 Guild Conflict Update

I like the idea of giving new players a grace period to learn the game before they become a target for GvG as it can be discouraging to come on line and see you have been attacked many times.  That being said, I think "x days" of activity would be better than a level cutoff.

#849356 Suggestion Regarding Future Balancing Updates

Posted by Seagull on 15 February 2014 - 03:37

First let me say well done on the recent balancing update!  I appreciate your work in balancing the classes and skills. While there are still some tweaks to be made, the recent changes appear quite refreshing in my opinion, and will contribute to the longevity of the game.

That being said, I do have one complaint, which is that we were only given 1 chance to respec our characters.  In my case, after testing my build I realised that I made a several mistakes which, to my dismay, I found that I would be unable to freely remedy for 60 days.  While I fully support the respec cooldown timeframe as well as the cash shop option during normal gameplay, I feel that when balancing updates take place, there should be more leeway.  With some of the changes, it is difficult to determine how actual gameplay will be affected without experiencing the changes first hand.  This means trying out a build without being locked in to the decision.

I propose one of the following be implemented in future balancing updates:

1) Unlimited resets for 3 days.

2) ~3 bound respec tokens (enough to try a few different things).

3) A testing grounds where we are able to test different builds without spending our respec.

Thank you for your consideration.

#841970 Templar Talent Suggestion

Posted by Seagull on 17 January 2014 - 21:01

My suggestion is as follows:

A 1 point buff talent that provides a significant reduction in armor durability degradation (and as a result reduces repair costs).  Perhaps a requirement could be to wield a shield?

The reasoning behind this is that templars playing the tank role incur large amounts of damage and thus have significantly higher repair costs than other classes;  I think this would balance that issue.

EDIT:  Sorry, this should have been posted in the stickied thread.

#837376 Placing Signs

I think it'll eventually turn into a waste of time. Unless there's some sort of restriction, people will instead use it to write meaningless messages and troll.

That's possible but would perhaps have some entertainment value if used that way. I thought of this idea when I saw how people were having fun with pinatas in another thread actually.

Assuming the item is purchased with Eldevin points from the shop I see no downsides personally.

#837258 Placing Signs

My suggestion is to add a sign item that can be placed in the world. The item would allow a player to enter custom text which could be read by others and would last for a set time duration (similar to FS Box on fallen sword).  I think this would be a useful and interesting way to communicate messages in game when going offline, buying/selling something, or confirming a time to run an instance/party.  Additionally I imagine there are many other applications that would emerge if this were to be implemented.

Your thoughts?

#817151 I guess im sorry

Cheating is of course undesirable in any game as it produces a  negative impact on the gaming experience of the legitimate players.  What suggestions do you have to improve the current situation?

As for players begging/feeling entitled to things,  this has not affected me because I do not allow it to.  I find that either ignoring or educating such players are the most effective methods of dealing them.   "Teach a man to fish and he eats for life" as it were.  Your thoughts?
