GUILD ADVISOR

 

 

 

What sort of guild does not have the advisor? It is one of the first structures anyone buys - is there a guild without it in the game - that is not solo? Those stats are almost universal, and these are guild medals.

Yep! There s actually at least one guild without it. Old Buggrs. I know. I am a member.  :D

I thought starting at ground zero in my opinion is best way for new and older players be on same foot. I do not think the advisor should  be used. Perhaps we start with a fresh medal advisor from ground up. So old stats do not muddy it up to much new medals earned, I think some more guild medals for guilds to accomplish as a team would be fun.  This could be a thought in a new active direction. Example medals is some kind of gvg medal, or most wins as a guild for arena medal or most relics taken are just a few off top of my head. Oh have another medal to think about would be guild medals for titan killing or leveling. The medals have no value other than bling accomplishments, but on the flip side, the medals,  could make a good advertisement for players to find a guild for their playing style. Perhaps wake up players to see what guilds are hauling active on and such. :)

I agree the guild medals should start from this point forward, not looking back at past achievements.  What's the point of making them retroactive and suddenly 75% of players have a slew of new medals.

 

I also think guild medals should be more of something that the guild as a whole accomplishes,  rather than what an individual accomplishes within a guild environment, as these new ones seem to be.  More like the relic defend medal.  Maybe something like a medal for 75% (for example) global event participation.  But maybe that is more of a guild accomplishment than a guild medal?

I just wanted to show my support of these new medals. for months ideas were tossed around and finally we got what we all wanted. a big thumbs up to my cows :)

I must say I am disappointed. I was the one that ask for these medals and the FS community liked the idea.  

Number of deposits and not the gold amount!

Not time sitting on a relics!

My whole point was to recognize players for being true guild mates and not bottom feeders.

 

But I have a feeling players would have been able to cheat on the gold amounts deposited anyway.... But they would have had to sit on a relic to get that one...

 

Use of the advisor would have recognized those selfless players first and let the others catch up.

It may just be me, but I look at my medals as something I earned, I worked hard for, all of them; with the exception of the team player medal. 

 

Only suggestion I have, is for the Relic defenders... There are players with Gold already.

 

This is because there is no time limit, and guilds are 'boosting' off each other.

 

Maybe set a time limit, or make a 'point' only count towards the medal once per 24 hours on one single relic? 

 

Unless players are trying to boost towards the medal, it won't matter to them if they get points towards the medal.

The Relic Medal is useless and shows us nothing. The only thing that shows is 'what guild has more friends than another'.

+1 to change to "Time over a relic", makes a lot more sense and will be fair with everyone on the guild.

Usually other guilds only attack relics with stamina gain or very good bonuses, and the players who are defending the less desirable relics? Never win a medal for doing exactly the same contribuition than the one on the better relic?


But I don't know if HCS has a way to track that, and that is a very big but.

Lots of the game medals have no "meaning" - lots of them can be gained by collusion with other players.

 

Some players get them "fairly", others just use "game mechanics" to get them.

 

Somehow, I don't think anything will change in the near future ...

Some players reached gold medal for the relic defence a few hours after the medal release, and this morning I found players with crystal for this medal.

I think it is odd that only Guild Loyalty is lost if you leave your guild. I think that you should be able tyo keep that one like the others. It would also help when Iit comes to recruiting someone. You can bet that a player who is in his 500's and only has a bronze guild loyality medal will not stay around long... just a though

The way I see it any medals Gained from being in a Guild should be stripped from the player when they leave a guild.... But then that would make a lot of Whiners....

THIS IS  THE SADDEST SET OF MEDALS TO EVER COME OUT , ,,  within ten minutes  of the release they were being manipulated and players were posting their achievements , just sad ,really  Sad, Weerapll :angry:

Nope, Weerapll, it's not the medals that are sad, its the players who will press the win button at all costs.  If they really need to win at all costs and show off their uberness, let them....they really need it.

i dont like anything thats too easy, medal wise and i have gold defender of the realm already so yes im a swear word but i would have preferred and wouldnt complain id even rejoice if the relic medal was changed so it was awarded for hours spent sitting on a relic, my two pennies and a toast to change with some irn-bru that i just saw in another thread :D

why change it when they could just add another medal? Relic Squatter ;) hope HCS thinks about introducing more medals.. before players complain more about what they did in the past not counting...

New medals are great, although the medals added are good and bad.

 

Positives - The guild went into a frenzy when they were added doing loads of group activity - which was great

 

Negatives - They are too easy to earn which devalues other medals (Especially medals like - Arena, Titan, Bounty)

The medals don't affect each other but earning one medal should be as difficult as earning another

Why doesn't everyone just say "Hey Cows, thanks for the cool new medals that we'll earn in the course of playing the game and doing what we normally do and things we were going to do anyway!"  Earning these medals affect absolutely noone negatively so I really don't understand all of the turmoil.  By the way, Hey Cows, thanks for the cool new medals!!!
