So i started some side game for the next couple of weeks. Details in bio and pasted below.

Hopefully as many as possible of you can get on board and lets have some fun.

 

I started the post as following it in my bio is probably not going to be the most economical option, and also it lets players discuss the progress, to see how much I am winning by lol

 

Anyway, hope to see your entries and good luck!!! So far there are around 50 of us signed up and ready to go.

RULES
Pick 4 teams totalling maximum 50pts from list below and send it to me.

Your teams get 3 points for playing a match, and also 3 points for winning a match win and 1 point for drawing a match.
Also every team gets 1 point for each goal they score.

I will share the current leaderboard after each round.
Deadline for your entries Friday 10th June. 19:00 ST.
2 entries per player max.

If I am offline, don't worry, I will go through all entries when I get back and send you a confirmation.

*I called it Soccer for JohnnyMo's Amusement, it is really called "Football", ask PJ.

I chose Belgium, Italy, Cz Rep, Hun.

I already sent my teams and didn't reach the full number of points. Suddenly I wondered if the four teams had to be different.

 

Since Spain is so obviously going to win (lol), I maybe should have picked them twice, lol.

Btw, actually it was Brits that called it "soccer". That was to differentiate from various types of "football", like "rugby football".

 

I'd say what it's called in the country I live in, but... ah well, can only speak "English" here.

This is definitely untrue. We don't call it "rugby football" just rugby. There's rugby, football and American football.

So far, we have 120 entries with 24hrs left to cut-off. Many of you used your option to have 2 entries, some didn't.

I will post some stats about the selections tomorrow, for you stat geeks out there like me.

Most and least picked teams etc.

 

Also I will find a way to share the full selections table for all to see, so you can follow the points yourself if you like.

But mainly to just prevent any suggestion of sneaky team changes etc through the competition.

Not sure. You have a chance and I dare say a greater one than England do though that pains me to admit. In recent years Spain has lost it's way a bit after a number of amazing years. Most notably in the world cup vs The Netherlands. Wow... Just wow.

 

I wish you luck as well though slightly less of it if our teams meet.
