Slot the armour with a mystic gem.

When you get to 3K, you should consider paying for an orb staff. I know you said no invasion items, but they should be easy to come by now the bigger types have poo sticks, and there really is no substitute at that level. If you do that, you can get rid of the surge trinket and replace it with Ghalek. If you do get the Orb staff, though, you will have to be sure to have the mystic armour, for the wordlies, or find some old Zahaar armour, somewhere. But why bother, get the mystic gem.

The above list tends towards the wisdom heavily, which it should, but some things like the ammy of wild magic could be replace by something else, if you need the stats or AP.

.......what does MROB stand for?

Master's Ring of Benevolence. It becomes redundant wisdom wise fairly soon, but at your level it has a bit more wisdom than non-invasion rings you can get, and the anti-platinum steal skill isn't available too many other ways, so it could come in handy later in life.

Dont know if this helps, but I'm a level 4973 and this is the kit I use. I have been out of the game for about 9 months so there might be some slightly better kit by now... but this and variations of this setup have worked great for me, the Zahaar Orb Staff you can replace with the Incendinite Claws to make your vials work for longer.

Have you been playing along with the rest of us?

Given that this thread is some four months old, all the ammies have changed. You can now equip the omniaurae, enhanced omniaurae, and searing amulets, by completing quests that have come out since Decmber of last year.

As you have requested a list of non-invasion items, my rune list is still good, I think. Runes have always been rather lack lustre for mages, but seeing as one slot is taken by overcharge, it didn't matter too much. Gets better at 5K with the Cerebral rune, though.

Snow Spiders. There are something like 200 per spawn. Your initial target is to get your def above their attack. After that, work on your MP until you can start at the opening, set a flux point halfway, warp home, replenish your mana, warp back, then finish the spawn.

As your wisdom grows, move to square spell, and clear entire squares at once, with the occasional troll caught by an overcharge.
