Will this game be taken down due to lack of players/donations? If So When? I Plan On Starting But If It's Doomed Then There's No Use Wasting My Time.

If the game is doomed will any credits be converted to other games like say Sigmastorm shuts down and you have 100 credits and you wanted to convert them to fallensword points....zynga does this when they shut down a game as its not the customers fault they don't place the burden on the player they use it to keep the customer coming back.

You have 400 plus levels of content to enjoy. With some of the best storylines I have seen in the gaming world. Will they ever take the game down? Hard to say and not up to the player per say. Enjoy it for the distraction it was designed to be. Have fun with it. The content alone is worth the effort. Wish there was a way to reset my character and go through the story lines again.

The game was much more involved than any other HCS game (other than now, Eldevin). The story lines were much better and flowed throughout the game. But, the game never got the player base it deserved and thus fell into disrepair.

BUT, as the above poster says, there are 400+ levels of great content to play through - so enjoy them :)

Homer : Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals .. except the weasel.

Eddie Izzard : The National Rifle Association say that guns don't kill people, people do. But I think the gun helps, you know ? I think it helps. I think just standing there going "BANG" - that's not going to kill too many people, is it ?

I don't mean to sound pessimistic, but it seems that everything I eat lately turns to poo ...

12:04 28 Jul 2011 We would like to inform you that active development on Sigmastorm 2 has ceased for the foreseeable future.

This was the announcement we received. Almost 2 years later, the servers are still active, although you will almost never find anyone on playing. When they announced this, they did credit players, at least some, on the Fallen Sword account. Not sure if it was all of it, though.

If you donate to SS2 at this point, ...

well

i hope they come back to it.. add the map feature that Fallen Sword uses now. i don't see them killing the game for good especially with all that time and effort put into it.

Been playing SS2 for several months and enjoy it immensely, much more than i did fallen sword when i tried it. Contrary to a previous post, there are people on all the time, just not a real talkative bunch. If you can get into a faction it makes the game even better. Even tho they are not adding new content, I doubt they will take the game down, imho...

We have no plans to take down any of our games. The less popular a game, the lower its running cost. It's only on going development that has a cost really. So don't worry, we keep Cow Play around and that has all of 7 people online at peak hours.

I quite like SS2, im new to it however... I donno its something to do when your killing time. A lot of people will argue that its too much like FS so a lot of players wont play it, among other reasons of course, but if you take the time to try it out, a few days at max youd find its enjoyable and it is similar to FS yes, but there are significant differences, classes, class-based gear, an actual story-line, you can see your gear on your character, there are other things too.. Im only a noob on SS2 but of what i know so far it has some potential. Its unfortunate players stopped playing, and even more unfortunate that HCS no longer does anything for the game... With a few updates, added skills, some new maps and an updated SS2Helper, people may return :P Otherwise with nothing to work for, everyones right.. Its just another dead game with no future.

Hello there. A lot of what you said is true but..

1) There's enough skills, as you've experienced there are more helpful ones than the others while the ones in your favor tend to benefit the class you're currently in (in which of course is the option to change your class if some mistakes are made)

2) HCS is not producing more game content and have been very reasonable about their actions for it. The game's been low in demand in the last year and when one player left due to rl priorities game preferences etc. and someone knew about it, he/she would occasionally follow. Hopefully, global chat did more than just have players jibber-jabber and then some as a positive reinforcement but a lot of new players that joined in the game chose to not stay for long and old players did not return all the time. Heck, the amount of players playing back at FS now is pretty close to the amount of players when SS2 opened their doors (quite higher sometimes) in a consistent flow.

3) It has some potential yes but that was commented at least 100 times when the game was still alive and refreshing. Now, well you know how it is.  ;)

4) Those that have made donations prior to SS2 have been given fsps to their profile so it did have worth other than killing time.

5) Future may be bleak, but there's still at least some people putting some effort.  :)

So.. yeah I'm spitting words at your face mostly but SS2 will not ever need to be respawned. It literally lives.

ive played sgs for a while now i like t, it does help to have a faction that has gear andstructeres to help. and ive found that with the lesser amount of people on. that those that are on are far more genours with the buffs they have. and most will give them fro free with just a please and a thank you

Hello hello!

1st forum post for SS2 (yay!)

I started playing July 3rd -- currently I'm level 30 and charging up towards the top.  I don't care if the game is dead; or there will be no new content added!  As long as I got some peeps who buff me, some peeps who chat with me, and some peeps to have some rivalries with; I'm happy.

Yes, SS2 has a quiet community, but I have my basic needs for a game.  I'm thrilled to be a part of the SS2 community; if anyone wants to chat on SS2; hit me up!  Just leave a message and I'll get back to ya when I can!

btw, a HUGE thanks goes to kobra5 and j3k -- they gave me a combined total of 19,000,000 credits!  Players like them make the game so much fun for people just starting out, and for that I am so grateful.

Good luck on the battlefield to all; and long live Genesis!

My SS2 accomplishments in 16 days

1. Top 10,000 player (6,503rd)

2. Adventurer (Bronze) Medal

3. Monthly Top 10 (Bronze) Medal

4. Cyborg Hunter (Bronze) Medal -- thanks to arwarrior7 for letting me repeatedly kill you in SF

5. Top 50 Richest Players -- again thanks to kobra5 and j3k
