Not enough people play this game for one. Also, some of us play after the late shift and it's even worse. I spam every day and everyone at this time only PVPs. I will never get my 40 gear in this game with no help. So please make solo dungeons. It can take longer, and less experience than a group, that's fine. But I want something to do for 5 hours every night then to spam and beg and still end up empty from 10pm est  until after 3am est. I want to play this game but see little reason if I have no way of getting gear. I might be in the minority here but I have spoke to others that share this same concern.

Also, with the new content coming, some of us are totally screwed. Everyone will be on quests and there will be no 40 dungeons going.

It can even be a Duo dungeon.

HC Staff, just run some kind of report and see how many TR runs are going on during this time, especially during the week. I would be surprised if you have more than 1 or 2 runs from Sunday Night until Thursday night total during this time, and not much better on the weekends at these times either.

i agree a different set of sets for smaller dungons you could even make them weaker or stronger or equal to the others

nah, I want to see the same gear, just taking longer to get it with less experience from the solo or duo dungeons runs and less drops.  It will still give people the incentive to group up for dungeons, while helping others that cannot find any runs.

For example: (for TR runs)

Solo runs get 2 relics and 1/6 the drops and experience of a group run

Duo runs get 4 relics and 1/3 the drops and experience of a group run

Group runs get 6 relics and same drops as now

This is just an example. Can be done differently.

I have stopped playing purely because of the imbalance towards grouping requirements in game.

HCS has shut an entire group of gamers with their decision to be group orientated. That of course is their prerogative as it is their game, and it's my call whether to support a game or close the book and move on.

there's many things which can be done to improve gameplay for people who want to play through without the overbearing requirement of groups, especially to progress in the game.

I have little faith in a positive outcome based on the way mac players have been treated. Tunnel vision is not a good thing.

I would prefer it be a similar set, with same stat amount but different spread. We need variety, not more of the same.

even if these were obtained through some sort of solo arena experience i am sure it would be better than solo players not getting anything, or not being able to get anything if you do not level with the first group and miss the dungeon rush.

Also would be good to see crafted sets at each tier too (again same stat amount, different spread) to add more variety.

Has been mentioned a few times, hopefully when the content team has done this 45 content they can do something about this

I'm not a fan of this suggestion, but I can see where you're going since it's insanely difficult to find a group for most dungeons nowadays. That's partly due to the game's popularity, but also the fact that most have already ran these instances.

Characters:

Crusader - Assassin [Level 45] | Dusk - Mage [Level 1] | Hex - Ranger [Level 6]

Gathering Professions:

Crystal Cutting: 13 | Farming: 10 | Fishing: 10 | Foraging: 41 | Forestry: 19 | Prospecting: 40 | Skinning: 11

Crafting Professions:

Alchemy: 45 | Armoursmithing: 9 | Cooking: 11 | Jewelry: 6 | Leatherworking: 6 | Tailoring: 5 | Weaponsmithing: 2

Well, i agree with it. Finding players to do dungeons is nowedays almost impossible. It will stay impossible untill the game ramps up in popularity, but then its too late for the current batch of players as they already have left. Also I see no reason why ALL the nice events should be groupbased. If this was the intension it should have mentioned in the brochure. I would have never started playing Eldevin if I had know that all the big content was meant for groups.

It is hard to get nowdays group for some instances but i like how best gear is only obtained from instances. They coud put crafted gear that will be slighty weaker as from instances and top gear should be always from group dungeons becouse takes more effort to get it. Another thing if you are desperate to get into some instances try play tank or healer these class have higher chance to get things done

All you need to do is make a few friends and you have groups whenever you need them.

I will try and look at it from another point of view though, if you have not been able to find a few friends then I can see it would be frustrating for you. I think when player base increases this will not be as much of a problem.

It is worth remembering that you do not need the best gear in this game to do anything. On release I levelled to 40 with only one set in that time... and that was the beetle set from guardhouse! :D

Of course, this meant I obtained my TR set using only what I got along the way to level 40.. quest rewards, loot drops, shop bought items.

Dungeons are meant to be GROUP pursuits! they are not meant to be solo, you are being rewarded in dungeons for working as a group.

If you make gear just as good, obtainable solo... then you will actually make the problem WORSE in my opinion. I for one would prefer the solo route! as I could get my gear when I want, grind it as much as I want, no limitations... what does that mean? It means one less player to join groups, Mongo could go all out solo. :D

I do however understand the frustration, so I think rather than try to adapt the game so everyone can solo everything maybe we need to suggest some ideas to improve the ability to find a group. I think player base is the main problem at this time, in that regards.

I do however understand the frustration, so I think rather than try to adapt the game so everyone can solo everything maybe we need to suggest some ideas to improve the ability to find a group. I think player base is the main problem at this time, in that regards.

Without an influx of players more and more will quit until there are like 20 players online. These players who are asking for a solo dungeon is basically the only way they will stay interested in the game. Theres no way we're going to see a sudden shoot of players for a good few months until more things are rolling out.

Theres limited ways for casuals to enjoy the game, some people don't like making friends and others just want to get things done.

The possible outcome of this whole situation would be the following:

- No solo dungeons means players leaving due to no grouping resulting in the playerbase dropping even more.

- HCS somehow send out an ad campaign and we see the players base raise to at least 200+ active online at the "dead time" resulting in the player base remaining stable and growing.

Wasn't a direct reply to you Mongo, just stating the obvious outcome to everyone who is posting against or trying to work around these suggestions being posted.

The more the playerbase drops the harder it will be for the game to pick up it's playerbase, a lot of players these days won't take a second look at a "dead game".

Yeah I know Neon. I am just trying to point out the fact that you do not have to have the sets to be able to do anything efficiently, in pve anyway. Hell you do not even need ONE Gem! :D

That is not an answer to the problem, I know, but it is important to remember that while these problems exist, they do not stop you from playing the game (apart from dungeons of course). :P

Mongo, I have to dsagree with you. This is not about making friends. I've made friends from the limited base that's there is at my time, where I have little choice but to end up helping low levels, which I enjoy but I want my gear too. Quite a few 40's that aren't even friends have messaged me wanting to help if they could. It's just not there at that late time, where there is severe lack of players.

The new set gears is a very appealing part of the game. To say that I don't need it only dismisses people in this predictament like myself. I understand group play should have more rewards, just not better or different. We would like to get they same type of items and gear as you. We just don't want to be penalized. Anyone else saying it will get better with a greater influx of players, is dismissing us as well. This game needs more people, not more frustated people leaving.

This game was MMO game of the year and has become more of a ghost town in comparison. Elements need to be added to enrich this game to bring people back. I am not a social butterfly in game but I am by no means anti-social. This fits the mold of many people that play. I talk and am friendly, but I want to play the game. You tell me Mongo why you want to log on anonymous. It's not because you are anti-social either. Sometimes you just want to play the game. right ?

That is why it is an MMORPG. If you want to quest alone, just play an RPG. The whole idea behind an MMO is the player interaction, including group dungeons.

I remember making a thread about dungeons and such a while back which got a positive response as I recall.  I said the numbers online were far too low etc etc..... if you want to read it, link follows.

http://forums.hunted...055#entry841291

That was back in January I believe. Even back then I knew it could potentially be harming to amount of people that played. I came up with different alternatives/ suggestions. But yea I can understand where you are coming from when you desperately just want your gear from a dungeon and can't find anyone.

That is why it is an MMORPG. If you want to quest alone, just play an RPG. The whole idea behind an MMO is the player interaction, including group dungeons.

The problem is that this game is no longer MMO. It's only MO. 40k people have registered. There are 3 servers. Oceanic is not used anymore. EU server maxes out at 60 or so and US maxes out around 110. The most you will ever see online at one time, during it's peak hours, is 150 between the servers. Off peak hours are more like 30-40. MMO ? Hardly. I am trying to help a bad situation. Just because you are playing at peak hours and already have gear, does mean you should dismiss everyone else. Soon you will be one of 20 people playing this game and then you will be complaining but it will be too late. Maybe offer something helpful then to help bring people in and retain the ones we have now.

Note: I have posted up a Poll on this in General Discussions here:

We can close this post I guess and respond there/
