i'm frustrated as heck.  the new client blows.  the old browser is no longer accessible.  it's frustrating to pay for something broken and the so called fixes are breaking it more.  

 

ban me for being negative.  i really don't care at this point.  in fact, i'm banning myself until it's fixed.

 

when i run, i look like a flamingo and that's only after i can find myself behind extreme close ups of wooden banisters.  

 

i'm sorry for being so angry.  just fix it. please.

I saw a few staff names reading the threads. I assume they know issues are occuring. But the problem is the time which is now 11:04 pm at night. Unless they can fix things at home or are going into the office tonight to look it over, or it corrects itself with time. They might not be in until office opening tomorrow if you guys can hold on. I am sure it will be top of the list when they get in, if they can't get to it before.

I work in the medical field.  If we are going to be closed for any length of time, we do not do any major surgeries or prescribe drugs that have strong side effects right before we close.  I feel as though they make these changes and the it's "light out! time to go home!"  I understand they are not performing brain surgery, but the game is life and death to a lot of us.  Per a private message Guthix is having with a dev, they were completely unaware of some of the issues we are having.  I agree with Eloom though, let us know.  Geesh, even Princess Leia heard the cries on Alderan right as it blew up.

I can play in browser, given the safe mode is active. Otherwise it is unplayable, new client is too choppy atm. I have to say that the last updated client is better than the first one released last thursday (i.e.: higher frame rate). But it is still unplayable....

 

Problem is that the safe mode is not exactly the same stuff before update. There are quite number of mini bugs here and there, e.g. : glitter in gems is misplaced, low fps and shadow in minimap, very slow unpacking-map when opening new map, etc...

 

I would say, client and browser should be set with an engine that works, the "beta" version of new client should be put in optional.

you know, some on to remote re-boot game and talk to players to say something like 'we are doing they best we can rigt now pls be patient' or 'we are looking in to this right now and soon as we know whats wrong we'll get back up' or 'we are sorry and will have the game back on track as soon a possible.  We'll inform you as soon as we find the issue' ....

Apologies about this. We're looking into the issue with the browser-based version now and hope to have a fix for it live within the next few hours.

 

We're also aware that some players are having issues with the client and are working on additional fixes and logging to help us diagnose and fix the issues as quickly as possible!

The issue where the client refused to load should now be resolved, if you still encounter the same issues you should try clearing your cache. http://www.java.com/...lugin_cache.xml

 

Or use the diagnostic util.

 

Bryn: yes we have no fix for this currently but we are aware that some people are experiencing this and being taken into software mode.
