The glow one is better...
---One thing first I like the avi's I have seen, quite different and good....
I like messing and changing with pictures but I haven't been able to upload any of them...have some trouble and no time...anyway
---Try not to include my name--put my guilds name on instead
---If you can, try changing the picture, I like the girl on their but i'd kinda like a warrior girl...hmmm...ever seen Fate/stay night?? well take saber for example Though possibly make it so that it is similar to the look of the girl in the avatar that you made. :wink: Or keep the girl in the avatar and work on it a bit, to make things easier.
---If you can't think of anywhere else to put my guilds name then leave it where it is...try not to make it rounded writing, a sort of straight or maybe gothic style, whatever suits the picture, lol green sort of relates to evil, but avoid using green- red is possibly better, if it doesn't show to well, try putiing a something that makes it more pronounce, a horziontal lying sword may work..depends..
....anyway enoug of my talking you do it how you want since it's your say and you're work is good, welldone.

my method is to put wat word i want in small font .... then change the color to dark-grayish (or if u are using GIMP right click --> filters --> alpha to logo --> Gradient Bevel ) .... works for me

just google render tuts for *IMP program u use here* and it'll give you dome pretty good tuts

I don't have any complaints, i'll use your one until, I make a better one of my own.
Also since I do not need to really have an avatar, i'll use yours, I quite like it, and it's pretty good too.
