I believe there should be an option for chickens.

I voted for the PC because it's what I use now. However, this is soooo telling. LOL
The Apple Macintosh computer goes on sale for the first time (I was 36 years old)
If you scroll down the page aways, you come to a pic of the first one. That's what I come to hate and what my daughter learned to turn on, insert disk and play a math game called "Math Blaster"
Please insert disk one, now dist two. Hey, machine there is only one drive on you. LOL
Came home to find it in pieces on the bar in the basement with two Apple Reps, asking my now ex why he did this, and this and this and any number of other things. Not long after that the bigger machine came out.
My, my how things have changed.
Oh yes, to the admin that might want to delete this post because of the game reference.... LOL The internet has not arrived in my life yet, and I don't think you can find a copy of that game anywhere without a WHOLE of luck.
One more edit, I promise. lol
The World Wide Web is announced to the public by Tim Berners-Lee (I am 44 years old then)

If anyone would like to see what was going on in the world as you were growing old, this is the place I went to look in the mirror of my life. LOL
So many things have come and gone and yes, some days I feel very old, others not so old. Enjoy a walk down memory lane for yourself. I found it delightful, informative, and so much more. lol
Enjoy.
Look what I found. lol
The first message is sent over ARPANET, the forerunner of the internet. (I was 22 years old) Oh my.

Didn't need the foil though.
There are sooo many events listed in the years of my life.
Thank you again for the pics you put up too.

I was showing interest in a piece of jewelry i saw online:
a 25ish woman asked me why I'd want to wear a gold swastika
edit: this was an educated woman in her 20s, so knew about WWII but nothing about outdated music formats

Hmmm. Swastika? I don't see that there, that's rounded and swirly.
Reminds me of the little insert used to play a 45 rpm record on a player, it allowed the record to be dropped on the spindle and not slide all over the turn table.

Man, there were so many things that I remember but ain't thought about in years. From the teenage years in particular :
The death of Freddie Mercury.
The release of Tom Waite.
The end of the Cold War.
The death of Benny Hill.
The birth of Euro Disney.
Prince believing his own hype to rename himself a symbol (that was freakin' odd. No one knew quite how to report it.)
The X-Files.
Doom.
Quake.
The Channel Tunnels opened.
Nelson Mandela becomes South Africa's first black President.
The list goes on, and on, and ON!
And now I feel older than ever!

While I couldn't remember its exact function, I'm at least glad to say I recognised it as being used for the record player.
