i figured out the reason there have been no dark clouds in gothador as of late....
you see , the tremendous amount of waste odors from the dormant humans , coupled with the wafting of thousands of rat farts have created a sort of smog that hangs about 78 feet (or 2.7 googlemetres , for you euro types) , thus obscuring the dark clouds , the sun , and most birds.
