you can use it whenever, as long as you keep the code. even if the event expires you will still be able to redeem the code. at least that is my understanding, the event will end, but the codes will work indefinitely.

Because they are primarily designed for new players, not so much for existing players.

I've been doing the same thing, as I've been recruiting a lot of new players into my guild, so the first thing I do when welcoming them is link them to this thread if I see they have only the default max stamina.  Between the starting stamina, booster pack stamina, and epic quest reward stamina, new players can easily get to level 50 if they efficiently use it all!

I've linked a few players since the promo started ( old and new ) and it's definitely well received. It's a fantastic incentive for new players to hang around long enough for them to get hooked, hopefully, and a great bonus to existing members

Hoof, just a suggestion for the next Booster Pack: Include a Doubler potion of some sort.  Something like level 200 (5x) or so.

 

I've seen it in so many of my newborn guildmates (brand new players).  They get so much stamina, but the gold intake rate when they start out is so low, they can't afford to buy a Doubler potion until they've used most of that stamina, which takes forever. And then since they're going so slow (one creature per attack), they risk losing their gold to battle losses before they can do anything with it.
