I agree with the professional arena players that the spawn rates for arenas are skewed towards higher levels. It would be a very good thing to have 2 "fixed" arenas for every 100 levels - the arena level should be random as it is now within that. At the moment of me writing this, the lowest arena is level 177.

 

See comments below that agree with this.

 

Arena is slow again!  the more high level tourneys spawns the slower it becomes...

 

Seriously it should be 2 tourneys for every 100 level i have said and many agreed on it , it is fair for all players not only high level players .

 

We need this modification on how tourneys spawn ,just increase number of tourneys won't help as the tourneys will spawn at higher levels.

I agree, this really needs to be addressed!

How can Arena be a balanced playing field for all players when low levels are not represented at all!?

 

Additionally, I believe for the 2 per 100 level range ratio to fulfil its function it needs to have 1 tournament at 1 - 50 and another at 51 - 100 for each 'division' of 100 levels.

AMEN!

I feel like it can take a while to hit those sub 100 tournaments and this would be fantastic!

 

Another thing that needs to be looked at is the 25% guild limit cap for entering arenas. This makes it very hard for larger guilds to have multiple members attempt to even enter arenas.

 

See comments below for some examples.

 

Starting with removing 25% guild limit if people are using their own untagged personal gear. Sure keep it for those using tagged gear, no reason outside of that to restrict. If you are joining with your own personal gear it is exactly the same as if you were guildless or in another guild absolutely no difference.

 

Make it 25% guild limit for those using tagged gear. Let it be overridden if someone is using all their own gear.

dumb rule LOL i wont explain why, cos things are better dumb, that said, could we at least have a marker for if a tournament is maxxed on guild members, oh wait, thats smart :o

 

@Arioche or HCS Staff: It may be a good idea to create a new thread dedicated to improving the arena. These two examples would be the beginning of changes that need to be made. Also included: move discussion, make block work again, different rewards (only thing valuable is Brewers), etc.

Oh and forgot to say , why not make all tourneys 8 Man?  16man takes days to fill if not full week!

What is going to FS ? are we moving backwards ?   

 

Some players started fleeing of Arena due to long waiting time between rounds, like really.. 10 mins to 5 mins to 15 mins for every time the game lagging Arena players taking the punishment ! 

 

Arena waiting time between rounds has been 2 mins for over 10 years .. we accepted 5 mins  because 30 mins or 45mins  are too much to complete a tourney  ,why this change? aren't you worried of arena players quitting?  and why bugged block move still not fixed for years ?

We are playing FS for entertainment not to get stressed... 

maybe you see me sounds like nagging but you aren't playing the game to feel what me and most of Arena players feel!  

 

 

I hope Hoof can take a look soon , at least give us a sign  you will make it better soon but atm we arent sure what are we waiting for maybe 1 hour between rounds for next server lag?

 

I have been playing FS for over 12 years and i don't have any intend to disrespect HCs staff you have been doing great on updating FS for these years and we are all FS family and i hope you keep supporting your family .

I'm with you, the lack of transparency has been truly bewildering!

 

We need some kind of progress report and at  least a 'tentative timeframe' to work with...

It would be a source of hope, which is harder than ever to come by for those of us with an interest in the Arena.

It has been 'a while' since we were told these issues were being 'looked into' and I fear more people will lose hope.

 

An experience I am all too familiar with, unfortunately...

Was hoping to see some more armor attack sets to fill in the large lack thereof throughout a massive range.

 

I think thats the struggle. As EOC reaches higher and higher levels, keeping up with gear in those ranges is becoming a challenge and people often look to lower level sets to fill in the gaps. I think a good solution would be to add new LE sets that are player inspired (I think there is still a backlog on implementing those?) / some original artwork for new LEs?!?

That being said, my controversial opinion is that its a little rough needing 3 SE pieces per item and only 2 arena items respectively.  Personally I'd rather see arena inventions use more arena tokens to invent.  Really go nuts with rare and difficult extraction components.  The potions are kinda the only token sink right now.  I'd much rather be able to dump 100s of arena tokens into inventing arena sets.  Not a huge deal, as this gives something to work towards and gives value to some SE drops I guess.  It just feels like whoever gets them first might end up dominating certain brackets for a few months until they become more accessible.

More arena resource items needed but I'd also require 1-2 SE and 1-2 epics as well. We could up the value of some nearly worthless +1 and +2 epics.

Maybe the description of the move misleading but if you read it in simple way it will just freeze next move if activated but VS fireblast will negate freeze and VS  block it will freeze block and next move .

 

In the screenshot you posted you didnt have enough attack so you missed no matter is freeze activated or not.

 

but it seems there is bugs in Arena Moves for a long while and some players benefit from it.

 

It seems from this thread discussion that there is confusion on how combat moves work in arena (from arena masters), so how are the rest of us suppose to compete? The bugs and things not working properly in Arena is one of the reasons I rarely do arena.

The duration between Arena Tournament rounds has now been dropped from 10 minutes to 5. We hope you like the update. :)

why not just 1 minute? What's the point of the lag? Is it to slow down how many arenas get completed per day?

Why not let everyone from a guild join a single arena? The medal would have no point then and be worthless (except for maybe pride buff haha). What would happen is that people would instantly fill up arenas with their guild mates and you could potentially rotate wins. There are lots of advantages to being in a big guild, free arena wins shouldn't be one of them.

 

A cooldown after people win X number of Arenas per week would be a good addition. I think that would encourage players to try arena more often and bring some life back to it. I know top arena players won't like this suggestion but it would be good for the game. Look at the Top 250 arena players ... you can get to be in the Top 250 without even having bronze (100 wins) after 15-16 years?!?

 

I do think the amount of players per Arena should decrease to 8 until you guys fix the time between rounds as a workaround to long durations between arena rounds. I think that would make the current Arena players happy until further action is taken.

Again your argument is invalid ..Arena is working properly.

watch some newbies getting hang in arena and getting lots of wins while you still arguing you don't play arena because you dont understand moves or saying some players wins more than another's ... 

 

You have to spend good time in arena to get better .

Do you think people are incapable of knowing 7 other people if they are not guild? What does being in the same guild have to do with anything aside from tagged gear which it should remain for that.

 

Please clarify why this is exclusive to being in a guild? There are multiple player made discords out there with no guild affiliation with ease of access to hundreds of players (IN REAL TIME, even faster access than what guild features offer) to get these free arena wins.

fair point, people could already coordinate to do this without being in a guild.

 

I think the logic was that arena would fill up too quickly if they didn't put a cap on how many guild mates could join an arena. Plus, guilds have easier access to large amounts of gear compared to a single player. I agree with your point that if you used non-tagged gear, it gets around that objection, however that seems like a lot of coding to make that fix.

 

A cooldown is a fair suggestion. People are always usually against leveling the playing field in FS it seems.

If they take the game serious, they ought to dedicate some time. It also should not take all that long.

Why not just create tabs in the arena (like there is for novice/normal).

 

One tab for levels 1-999

Another for levels 1000-1999

Another for levels 2000-2999

 

And in each tab, you can have something like 20-30 (maybe more) arena combats running.

Or is something like that not possible?
