I have noticed this a handful of times now, while running through forests... the resource tree's vanish, as if they have been chopped down, leaving just the the stump... but no player is anywhere close by.
Is this a bug, or just part of the spawn process?

I can vouch for this. I always run in front of Mongo chopping down trees in my path (To make sure that he cant get any)

I noticed this as well. The trees going missing that is, not Koko chopping them down.

it's not just tree. i seem ore disappearing as i approch the resources. is it a bug or do they just vanish at ramdon.

I've seen it and my guess is that it's part of a randomizing system to make the gathering process a little more dynamic. As is the variable respawn rate on resource nodes.
