That is what our Hero heard. Darkness engulfed him...

Suddenly he heard rumbling. He was spewed from his artificial embryo onto a hard, cold floor. He had no ability to speak, as he had no mouth.

He had questions, but no ability to ask them.

"Why am I in this red room?""What should I do?""What is my purpose?"

Suddenly he heard a voice. He followed it.

"Greetings," a hologram said" and welcome to this wonderful world"

"Wonderful?" he thought.

"Your questions do not matter now. You must get used to moving, and you must do it quickly," said the hologram

"Walk about this complex, and come back to me, once you are used to it"

So, he sets of walking. He stumbles. This attracted something in the area. He was weak and had no way of defending himself

When he looked up he saw himself, but it was not him. Then he saw more. Fear filled him.

"What is this place?" he thought. "What am I?".

He was given a data-pad by the first being he saw

"No need to be alarmed. You are a clone, and have been created for one purpose: to be the best.
You may be disoriented, but you will get used to it. This facility will prepare you for the world outside.
If you have any questions, forget them, and do your best, at being the best.

Reluctantly he forgot his questions.

He put put the data-pad next to the place where he fell out. After he got used to moving he went to the hologram.

"Well done," he said" now proceed to the next area," and pointed to the door.

He went to it. The light from it was blinding, but he proceeded anyway.
