#964100 Development Update

Posted by ComradeLewis on 06 June 2016 - 23:33

Sorry to hear this, but I do think it's overdue. I've been checking back about once every 3 months or so, although I have not played in years. Primarily, I wanted to finish the quests at level 50, but at this point, I don't even remember the story.

I'll give just a bit of feedback as to why I haven't been playing all this time, and perhaps you can apply it to your next game. There wasn't enough variance in equipment stats, so there was no reason to hunt for drops at all (which is a very addictive element to any MMO); once you get your dungeon set, that's it! There was also a lack of anything to do with your gear at the end of the game. I know you were working on guilds, and attempting to make PvP alluring, but it never quite worked. Lastly, a game like this should not launch without a guild system. There was a huge influx of new players when this was green-lit, but nearly all of them fell through the cracks without a system in place to form their own community.

I don't mean to rub salt into an old wound. I did really enjoy this game, and I don't regret supporting you financially. I do agree that it's likely time to move on, and perhaps focus on something new. If it's interesting, I'll be there.

Good luck, and thanks for the entertainment.

(It looks like we'll never get that barber shop)

#957628 A Simple Auction House Idea

Posted by Lalalalalalalala on 23 January 2016 - 16:29

I don't know if the cows is already working on AH for Eldevin and will finish and add it into the game sooner or later. But in case if they haven't working on it, I'd like to suggest this idea which I think it's simple and easy to create.

A non-server crossed AH or an AH that only works for a single server that being managed by a NPC around Eldevin City Square. Works like the other vendors in Eldevin. People put their items into this NPC with a fixed price, no bid. So it's like a player item's vendor.

This picture is an example:

kwpwJI3.jpg

How it works:

1. Search Box. People can find items or seller they're looking for in this box. Each tab/category has a different result, depending on which it's category and seller.

The codes aren't not hard if the cows use Query for this I think.

2. Seller

  • Players can sell their items in [Player's Item in AH] tab. On this tab, the Buy Now button changed to Post Item. Any bound items cannot be posted
  • When Post Item button is clicked, it will show a window with a single dimension slot where they can put their items to AH with it's price. So players can put any dimension of items in this slot.
  • Players can post items with it's quantity/stack in 1 slot.
  • When their items has been sold, the seller will get a notification of this and get their money transferred to them instantly.
  • When their items is not sold within 24 hours, the items will go to [Player's Item in AH] tab and they need to take it manually.
  • On [Player's Item in AH] tab, there will be 1 other button labelled with Take Item next to Post Item button. This button works to take player's expired items.
  • Starting slots is HCS's choice. Players can add more slots that cost Gold or EP. Gold is preferred.

3. Any bought items will be instantly transferred to the buyer's inventory.

4. This AH works for a single server only.

Most people is hoping HCS would add AH soon, so there will be no spam in World Chat. Hurray! \ /

#952155 healer guide and icc guide for dummies

Haste is only for the nublets, the real manly and derpy healz use crit.

#952044 healer guide and icc guide for dummies

Posted by Removed18058 on 28 October 2015 - 12:16

i explained about redemption within the guide i chose not to talent it since the rise of healtanks and the ease of that 25% damage reduction during pulls :)

rejuvenate heals your tank and during pulls it will generate aggro on the healer so use that once the pull is completed :)

i'd suggest not to revitalize since it has the lowest base healing and a long casting time :)

#952239 Rez point in Nidaros mines etc

Posted by The Marienne on 30 October 2015 - 03:28

For those of us with slow loading computers, dying in mines and having to load Eldevin east, then reload mines is a super pain. I don't mind running alot but is it a possibility to save a realm load?
(Actually there are other areas where the same sort of thing happens but they slip my mind at moment)

While topic is on the mines, the map definitely has huge problems. Its not a hard area but the map really turns some levellers off. Ik I was frustrated when lvling my first char.

And yes, the obelisk is crit just like sewer. Would be nice if could be like others suggest, haste, or dodge.. I'm hoping maybe there is some future plan for that one and just hasnt been developed yet ;)
Anyhow ty ty for your time and consideration, enjoying the game as usual.

#952053 Event token vendors are to stay

Posted by Savanc on 28 October 2015 - 14:31

Every time an event finishes some people will have event tokens left in their backpack. Whether it is because they didn't watch the time and were too late to trade them at the vendor, had trouble logging in or whatever other reason.

That doesn't really matter; people have event tokens left and no way of spending them because the event vendor disappears. But what is so bad about being able to spend candy canes (winter event ends in January) in February? Or spending Doubloons (summer event tokens) in October?

I suggest that the event token vendors stay permanently in Eldevin.

And I think the best way is if they get a building somewhere in EC (plenty of room still) to house them.
During events they always stay at the Eldevin City Central Square, but no need for that if their event isn't up. So a building should do fine.

So far we have 5 events (Winter, Valentines, Easter, Summer and Halloween), and some room on the calender for extra events. So a building that can house around 10 people should do quite well. wink.png

#950972 Translator

Posted by Iwashi on 11 October 2015 - 22:44

Oh.. Quite a hard request there... It would be nice for those that don't understand English. The interface can be translated in the game core and changed at the users will, but a built-in auto translator... I think it would be quite a hardship. =/ And besides, maybe the simple act of trying to understand English, even if using the translator, they could learn one thing or two and make it easier to communicate :)
I would like my son to interact with a full English community/gameplay to help him develop his linguistic skill rather than just translate it all to his native language. :D I know it can be hard for some to learn new languages, but sadly the gaming community is overruled by English.

#949914 Building our own homes.

Posted by Removed18058 on 28 September 2015 - 13:04

next time please search if there aren't existing topics like these this is the 15th if not even more threads have been made about player house

a couple of them have been recent but it's just stupid to make a new thread about something while there is one a little bit below.

and to crush your dream the developers barely reply to player housing ideas since they probably have other priorities and this is really far away on the scedule.

A very unsanitary area, the mines.

As if the sewers smell better <_<

#943967 Sub Classes?? ( please read Mod's)

Posted by Spirit on 09 August 2015 - 22:50

I prefer to keep classes as it is.

I can imagine though that with each sphere, it could influence our spell type like nature, dark, water, light etc. So more talent/spell diversity I could see down the road.

When you reach 49 level you will see more clearer what i mean. :D

But more advertisement can change this. :)
Just BETA players can kill it with insane stats in TA. No chances to kill any BETA player in TA, need to much time. :(

The join date of a player doesn't always mean a player is better. Some play for other reasons then to do pvp or pve/pvm all the time. I joined because of professions/story line. :D And there are some who play at their own pace like me. Nearly 2 years of playing and not level 49 yet.

#942281 Locations of Woodland Spirits

Posted by Vidazar on 30 July 2015 - 10:23

I created a map for those unsure where the locations in the list are, or want the exact location. I take no credit for finding the locations, only for making the map.
