Currently a ranger, not exactly sure how to build... Should I put all my attribute points into ranged? Or should I mix it up a bit with vitality and focus. Not sure if I want to be a ranger if it isn't the best PvE/Solo class, so suggest me a class I can work with. Thank you.

I'd suggest sticking all in range for now till you lvl up a bit, then you can respec and become more technical where you put your points

When in doubt. Blame lag ;)

i would probably recommend warrior or a hybrid of it eg warsin/sinwar, they are hugely good for grinding almost anything and reasonably easy to master, most groups like a warrior from my experience, i would not say a mage is at all unfun, though i do not totally agree they are as good for grinding, i believe they can hit a higher dps for short durations, in recent times i heard of builds that made warriors literally almost or totally max dps, either way they are both easy, fun and great for grinding to 49 then u can do a comprehensive study of what u want to make your first 49 character, to fully gear and gem him/her etc :-)

best pve solo class is mage

great for soloing quest bosses

mix in some prophet skills for more sustain and survivability and you basically won't die as a mage

survivable warsins is harder to pull off as a newer player cuz it would require some sort of gems

I found the answer changed with level.

Up to about lvl 14-15, you go through so quickly it really didn't matter

for mid levels (maybe up to 30-35) I found the warrior best for attacking critters as a mob (hence killing lots quickly), but you needed lots of healing potions or patience & healing plants (so level up gathering/alchemy at the same time).

For higher levels I found mage best: good area attacks and good self-healing abilities (health and manna), so quick to keep going.

Robet (Proph 49)   Orbet (mage 49)  Ebrot (magepro 49)

Tebor (warsin 49)   Orteb(sin 49)  Beort (warsin 49 - might become tank)

Betro (ranger 49)   Trobe (??? 6 - there for bene runs - just whisper

That sounds great, thank you for your input. I will most likely be making a mage now :)

Just remember, if you respec now and level up quickly, then decide to fine tune your setup, you either have wait 60 days to respec again free, or you have to pay EP to do it sooner.

Im not trying to discourage you from respeccing, it's just something to bare in mind, as new players often get a nasty shock if they change their minds on the characters class after a few weeks and have to pay EP to change.

Good looking out! .. I respect my character at a low lvl and kicked myself in but later. So like steve said.. just keep those points in mind .. This is to any new player.

Make a mage... mix up talents with prophet tree and you have decent dmg + good sustain to easily lv up, making it the best class to grind. Once you get max lv, you can switch to the class you feel better playing.

ranger is definitely an decent option to level up, you have great damage and also an pet to help you with aggro... you can switch to mage now, but you can lv up as ranger without any problems.

I really enjoy playing as ranger in any situation, its an extremely good class for any spec you may like.

Sinwar to grind and have full onyx on your armor (heavy armor)  max spires LC and swift stirde in assassin tree and next go over to warrior tree (it look more or less like a assassin who use a 2h wepon) and have 1 heal on hit gem/roll on the wepon
