Here would be a simple fix to this (I think) I'm fine with the rule and always have stood by HCS on this, but I know this topic has come up multiple times over the years, in which, the most frustrating thing I hear is how players gear up for an Arena only to find they can't enter.....so, (if it is possible) why not make it possible to see on the Arena page that a player is unable to join an Arena by highlighting it in Red... kind of like how HCS shows you you can't enter the next realm until you complete a quest or level up... I am on board with helping the Arena but I don't think changing this rule would help much.

thats is an amazing idea...that way you dont waste time with arenas that are filled by your own guild....and we do have a few here that play, but we have in the past just played our own ranges with few over lapping....it seems to work...

brice and I have always been on the same wave length as far as arena ( 99% of the time lol) ... an indicator showing when 25% of your guild has joined an arena has been asked for ..many times... im wondering if it is simply an impossibility?

I like that idea a lot as well.

I still think the entire restriction on how many can join an arena from the same guild is silly. To me, it is one of those "we now proclaim that cheaters cannot cheat anymore, so the masses will be at peace" fixes. I can see loopholes in it, and sorta figure that if I can - so can those who want to cheat/abuse/exploit.

1. The multi aspect. It is not a solution to try and restrain multis this way, since it is simply to cheap and easy to make your own low key guild, and have your multis there. Having a serious screening process of ips, login patterns etc - that might help.

2. It is not uncommon to have friends and allies outside your own guild - so, you can conspire with them to join

3. Guild loyalty is not exactly something everyone practices, so you can join another guild (with other friends in it)  - and instead of one guild being able to fill in 3+ spots (8 woman tournaments) if there were no restrictions - you can fill in 2 x 2 slots with the restrictions. Have a few more friends, and voila - the filling of any given tournament and the fix for the win, is in.

I am sure I could come up with more, but this sorta is enough for me. Players who cheat, abuse, exploit, whatever they wanna call their actions, are in all online games. Punishing the masses to stop the few rotten apples, has never - and will never be the best solution!

Besides, the arena is a gold sink - so the more arenas that finish, the more gold will be sunk.

The more arenas a player (that's into that aspect of the game) can join - the more active they can become.

The faster the arena moves, the more "action packed" it will feel to play - and maybe that will attract more players towards it. It is simply more fun to have 50+ lottery tickets, than just 10 ;-)

As Bloody said somewhere in the thread, this is something to do while stam gaining - and gives a reason to log in daily, several times daily.

I don't get, why the cows does not put more attention to this aspect... honestly, I don't.

But it does not stop multis. All you have to do to get around this rule is create a new guild - which cost only a few gold - and hey presto, you can join each arena with 2 more multis.

It does actually. And if you suspect multis, report it to Support. Multis are terminated. The 25% rule prevents collusion.

so, (if it is possible) why not make it possible to see on the Arena page that a player is unable to join an Arena by highlighting it in Red... kind of like how HCS shows you you can't enter the next realm until you complete a quest or level up.

I like this idea and shall add it to our update doc to ask Hoofmaster to implement.

It is really a statement of where the game is that people are no longer interested in the arena as a means of profit.

Personally I will enter again when and If I need tokens again.

<snip> The 25% rule prevents collusion.

How? I cannot have collusive friends outside the guild I am in? Am not trying to be a pest, but am seriously curious as to how a lock on amount of guild members leads to no collusion.

I did not participate in the discussion (I assume there was one) about adding this rule to the game, but can only assume it happened due to someone being annoyed with a guild containing to many (good?) arena players and felt they would have a better chance of winning, if they somehow managed to make it harder for these players to enter the tournaments.

If it was because of someone using multis in the arena, I am sure they were reported and banned (including main account), and in that case - this rule still makes no sense.

How? By preventing them from being able to flood the arena with naked Guild mates with one guy set up to win. This happened all the time in the past, which is why this rule was applied.

I beg your pardon but collusion is already openly allowed! Prestige swapping occurs regularly. If Hoof would have agreed to associate stam used to Prestige gained it would have stopped all of it. Alas, he missed the connection that allows Prestige collusion. So why the double standard?

It is not "openly allowed", thanks. That's why this was implemented so long ago.

The idea for the "associate stam used to Prestige gained" has been mentioned and I'll be bringing that idea to Hoofmaster.
