New way to earn artisan points

Anything but crafting.

Some non crafting way to earn them would be nice.

I advise maybe from toc or arenas. within reason of course not too much rewarding that it kills daily efforts and maybe put a limit that you can gain in a day from them.

maybe the limit should = max no. of artisan poitns available through daily quests.

And if TOC it shuold be soloable, i wanna do stuff alone.

Yes it is a mmo, doesnt mean i always have to be in groups with someone to get something done.

I disagree.  Artisan points are just that, points for being an artisan.  HCS is adding new ways to get flakes (the real issue here).  But the primary way to get at least one rare crafting material should remain crafting.  There's little enough reward for it otherwise.  Please don't completely devalue the time I've spent gathering/crafting.

 

Every MMO I've played (admittedly not that many), it was assumed that a player would have at least a couple of crafting and/or gathering skills.  And those who didn't craft accepted the additional grind for cash or trade-able mats.

 

In a perfect world, I would now say the following:

"So go spend the time not crafting getting me some emeralds/rubies/etc., and I'll trade some of the flakes I earn doing dailies."

 

While the above is true, I understand the problems, getting groups etc.  But HCS is addressing this.  With changes aimed at attracting new players, valor gem purchases, etc., along with the future changes, I believe this issue will disappear on its own.  While any premature fix could backfire.

Ik what ya mean mel but by that logic gathering skills shouldn't have artisan points then lol(joking but is a real logical point)as artisan is about being a craftsman not a gatherer or collector ;)

Rare crafting materials are dropped , not farmed.

Addressing this by forcing people to group.  Every single update forces people to group more and more and more.  And secretly removing solo areas.  In a low population game.  Where more than half of level 45s have quit in the past 2 months.  So lets release more group stuff.  Should make things easier to get groups.
