There are many other ways to connect to IRC:

• Chatzilla (firefox addon) can set to flash when messages are received
• Hexchat
• MIRC

 

Why not come say hello in ##ETrading

IRC has been out many years so you may need to add other symbols to your name to get desired name such as _- after it.

Once you have desired name don't forget to register it.

 

To register your name /msg NickServ REGISTER password email

I suggest to use the freenode tab to do this and also use a random password you use nowhere else.

 

Once registered you will need to identify yourself using this command:

/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password

If you do not wish to use the website to connect to IRC there are many other ways to connect to the chat.

 

The one I use is Chatzilla a firefox add-on.

You can set it to flash on your task bar when certain words are said and also flash when you receive pms.

 

You can buy and sell with people from Zeph server to Oceanic if everyone used IRC.

but.

This is BAD for the game.anything that takes you out of the game to use other things that the game doesn't provide is an overhead.

• There should be cross-server chat channels. For events,trading,etc.

channel like "/joing crossserver" should be available to all the players on every server. and should pop up in the world chat tab.

You already have the option to make your own chat channels, Eldevin should improve on that.
