I'm sure everyone who has taken interest in this topic is aware of Crimson Chain's abilities. Some of you do not, it simply heals x amount of allies, for x amount of spell healing within a certain radius.

Now I notice how it says "allies", this means anyone who is in a group with you. Now I just noticed, one of my friends Arrovak and I were the only two in he group; he has a summoned familiar that was low on health, as was he and I. So I used Crimson Chain, and it healed both of the HUMAN allies perfectly, but not the summoned familiar. He is an ally, and I believe he should also be affected by Crimson Chain.

NOTED PROBLEMS/FIX/ADVANTAGES:

  • What if we had a full group, all low health, in the same radius, and it heals a dog instead? Well, quite frankly as I developer I know you can give the Human Allies priority over the familiars in that situation.
  • If you have three allies all in one radius, with one summoned ally, then it should take advantage and heal all allies, with any left over healing abilities to heal the familiar as well.

Thanks for reading,

remember to vote in the poll,

Kevin

I notice how people are voting, but not commenting. I would love some feedback over the main topic. I see Kinfa1987, voted "NO!", and I am curious as to why? What's wrong with this idea?

Almost didn't vote.  I like the idea, but not to 'HECK YES'.  I would have preferred a simple 'yes'.

Well thought out.  Healers should have the capability to heal pets with all healing spells.  That includes Crimson Chain.  And you've addressed my concern, bypassing human allies.  I'd even take it one step further.  Bypass any allies at full health, so even if there are 5 humans the pets may still get a heal.

Question.  Does Dark Prayer heal pets?

The problem is "I know you can give the Human Allies priority over the familiars".  Yes, undoubtedly it can be done.  But at what cost?  I like the idea, but if it significantly delays more important enhancements/improvements it can wait.  Hence the preference for a 'simple yes'.

CC is for players only, Summons are not worth healing in group as anyway only Tank gets damage and no one else, mabey in TR first boss coz reflect damage...

my opinion is its not worth changing

  • I've never used Dark Prayer, though, it should carry the same concept.
  • Also, it wouldn't take too long at all. It's kind of like just changing our "Drop Chance", as that has the same concept behind it.
  • As simple 'yes' has been added.

  • Crimson Chain's description states that it is for "allies", as a follower is an ally the follower should be healed as well.
  • Summons are worth being healed, though, that is completely your opinion.
  • Your 'opinion' is worth changing, because I believe it has no grounds to stand on.

@Dasan: Please explain your vote.

Thanks,

If you vote in a negative way, please explain why?

I have no problem with extra heals on the chains going to pets.  However I would like pets to be considered invalid targets for the chain start.  Does that make sense?

If you want an explanation, don't make a poll.

No to chain-heal familiars/pets.

Makes sense to me.  And in fact goes along with the original idea that it only heals pets after all human players in range.

If you want an explanation, don't make a poll.

I view these as more of a straw poll.  As such, discussions do have a place.

Ultimately what is important, is that the chain gets to the tank. Hard enough to get us players to line up for CC, the pets can be all over the place and ruin the chain.

No they cannot, because again, it will only go to them if no other Human Allies remain.

Yes sort of answered above, again.
