So I'll agree with whatever he'd like to do, if anything or nothing.

~Aldo

I would not go that far. Agreeing with him to do nothing is basically saying I agree to hcs and you taking the last bit of activity out of the game and enabling you to feel comfortable as we die.  Some of your post also, does not remember he spent a lot of time not around as well. I am all for hearing what hcs and zorg have to say and being open. But at least alone some odd times we got advertised and were more noticeable. Now we are not. Simple.

I know I am new to the game and don't know how it was before, but I have grown some affection for the people I've found here. I don't know how HCS has affected the game, but as I have read in those posts they are not giving this game enough attention.

More updates would make this game experience even more enjoyable and would help new player stay for a longer time.

This is just my opinion, as a new player. :)

I played legacy(gangsterz2) 9years ago. My first account was deleted because of inactivity.

Between those 9 years, without any internet access, I never forgot how much fun i played this game (even though I only played in a short time) and I promised to myself to come back once I have an internet access.

Now I came back, still as good as ever. Many friends, nice community, hot battles... All make me excited everyday!

As other players posted above, we are family here. We grown up in here. It would be really really sad for us to hear if ever legacy be shut down. Its been a part of our daily life.

So I will join you guys to protect Legacy!!! XD

I joined Legacy on an upcoming 6 years ago. I enjoyed playing as much as the next person mainly because it was such a unique and different game. 3 years ago, I became one of the Staff and have been around as Staff ever since. While I'm not liked by a number of people (and the feeling is semi mutual :P), I can vouch that almost everyone that has been around for a long time and are sticking around as newer folk love this game and want nothing but the best for it.

In short: I would love to see HCS taking a more active role in helping Legacy move forward :)

The thread was born and started on that time. Still no hcs response or opening of dialog.  At least you can see there is still life in us HCS.  We are watching and waiting.

Announced on their Facebook that they're having a conference thing next week looking for developers. I wonder if that will free up zorg for legacy :P

The optimist in me would like to hope that would be the case Macey, I will be keeping my fingers crossed for sure. :) It is a shame we have yet to hear from a HCS staff member thus far, even if just to say that they are discussing the situation or even that they plan to do so. The latter perhaps even better, to know that a serious discussion is taking place on their end.

I think they are only looking for partners for their mobile games sector to publish for them etc. I don't think they are getting new staff. Regardless, we shall be waiting for hcs to start dialog. We deserve more and it is time someone started talking about it to us.

lets face it because HCS didnt create legacy they only inherited it when they hired Zorg , so they dont really care about us , all they done was when they took over ownership they raided our suggestion forums and game content and uploaded it into there other dying games , they promised us updated and new players and we got plat items , when they finally gave us an updated we got half of one , its looks pretty but not quite finished.

would be nice to see a road map being followed and get this on time. also be nice to see HCS staff give legacy a try , they all have account but neva seen them online , which tells me they havent given us a chance before giving up on it .

i put to HCS staff to play legacy give it a go , enjoy the community we have .

I have played this game for over 6 years now and there is something very special and unique to Legacy that keeps me coming back. The community is one where people from all over the world can connect and form friendships and a good rapport with each other that I haven't really seen or experienced with any other games I have encountered.

Throughout the years, I have noticed a plunge in the interest in this game. When I saw Steven's post saying that this game used to have 10,000 active players, I am shocked! That is how bad it has gotten around here.

It's not that people aren't interested in the game anymore, it is just that there is no progress and people don't want to sit around waiting for an update or something new and never get it. Many of the active players have wonderful ideas, but they are never implemented or they are put on the "road map" and just forgotten. This game has so much more potential than it is being given, it is a shame to see it all go to waste.

To see that Legacy doesn't even have its own forum anymore is discouraging as well and just highlights the fact that HCS has already started to do away with Legacy.

Like everyone else who has posted, I also would like a definitive answer as to what will become of this game as it is special to a lot of people who still play.

I started this game when I was at school doing my GCSE's. I'm now after 4 years of University, I'm in a well paid job, and like others already posted, I'd willing to personally fund newer updates, and g2/legacy was a huge part of my childhood. And I'd hate that to go to waste.

If everyone willing or able, donated a set amount, could easily rack up a decent amount for updates.

In total; I've played this gamer for almost 5 years now. My first account being around for a year and my current account, Raiden, almost hitting 4 years (~87 Days now until 4 years.)

I've enjoy every aspect of my path of this game, and it's stuck out far more than any text-based game I've played. I've made friends on here that I am more than thankful for knowing. Aside from that, I've enjoyed leveling up and finding new ways to better myself at the game.

While I don't participate as much in the sake of the game as much as I did before, I still love knowing the fact that it's a thriving community of people who have been around for longer than I. Simply amazing that to this day Legacy's playerbase is full of Veteran Members.

I'd donate anything I could to see the life of this game brought back to what it once was. Legacy is something I'm happy that I've stumbled across 4-5 years ago, because it's provided me the experience of a fun, unique game with a spectacular playerbase.

I have played this game going on 7 years now between two accounts and like how majority of the community has already said, I grew up on this game. I am satisfied that I was told about this game through friends back when i was in juniour high, i have established some good relations with people. I would dedicate some money for updates as well if people are also going to chip in to keep this game become more alive than it is now then most text-based games.

I've been playing this game coming up upon 6 years now this January. It is sad to see how the game has progressively decayed over the past few years. Mostly from the lack of updates, causing a good amount of players to quit thinking that the game had plateaued. Sadly it has, with the lack of updates and when there are they all come out at once. Leaving the community to expect more, only to have us wait a year or 2. The one thing that keeps me to logging everyday is to go on and have a great time. The community of this game is one of the closest I've ever seen, and they are quite supportive of it too. But other than that the game is pretty stale. Honestly I don't even see why vent weps weren't even tested on dev before being released, if you're not going to use Dev then why open it back up? Secondly I think Legacy should be given to an active group of staff members who know how to code, since Zorg doesn't have time to update the game anymore, we need a small group/ council/ staff who can breathe life back into the game and have the time to do so. I honestly don't see why Edelvin, or what ever that polished turd is called, get's it's own forum, but Legacy doesn't? Even though we have more active players. If HCS bothered to put a bit of advertising and time into Legacy they could have a real money maker, and the community would be able to love the game again.

There's so much potential in this game that has yet to surface. The new "update" put in a new boss that drops some cool new weapons with some much desired balancing. The Rift Gun and Void Sword along with the Prime Amulet and Inferno Amulet give the people who are simply just lucky enough to have it drop for them gives the player a huge advantage. The item descriptions leave a lot to be desired for.

The Void Sword description reads: "Crush your foes with the power of this weapon although it is wild and hard to control at times. ". As the hardest hitting weapon in the game it sounds like it was devised up by a little kid in a game of pretend.

Even just the Phoenix Shell has better thought out description as an expendable armour piece at level 30. "A strong armor imported in to the hive, the Phoenix Shell is the last remnant of the now destroyed Pheonix hive. Unlike the Zion Plate this armor offers full body protection. ".

The frustration felt by the community is almost unanimous with the quality and frequency of "updates" to Legacy. When Zorg was initially hired by HCS, there was talk from Hoofmaster and other devs of HCS about expansion and updates and promises that we won't get left behind. We have yet to hear from them on our own forums since then.
