Good afternoon everyone!
 
We hope you are all enjoying the current version of Fallen Sword on your mobile! Thanks for all the Feedback with this last version and your patience waiting on the next. Well, I am happy to announce that the wait is almost over! The next version is complete and the roll-out process Apple and IOS stores has begun!
 
This update sees the addition of In App Purchasing, so you will finally be able to buy and use FSP from wherever you are! This however will be an Android only feature for the time being and will be available for Apple users when the app exits beta (v1.0).
 
We have also added account linking to the game, so you should be able to sign in with ease and never get locked out again! You can do this from the player menu and we encourage you to do this at your earliest convenience!
 
This update also includes a number of bug fixes and user requested improvements (a full list of which can be seen below) that we think you will all enjoy! Please continue to keep the feedback coming and if you have any other issues, please don't hesitate to let us know! We are determined to make Fallen Sword the best game it can be and we couldn't do that without you!

I've gotten a few full stam notifications, but nothing else.  I'd love to get one about my pots.....

Thanks for noticing that, notifications are not in the game yet. Only stamina notifications are in for now. Notifications will be implemented in a future release.

You mean like a "test server"? Or that "new server" where everybody starts over with rats....

 

 

I do believe that it's been stated FS won't ever be a "multi server" type game where you can have alts all over the place... Remember, alts are forbidden by order of Hoof....

 

IMHO, the FS population is much too small to need multiple servers of the same people playing on separate characters.  That kind of thing is a nightmare for Gacha games anyway,  the whales and credit card cowboys from Server 1 always run rampant and plague the actual new players on subsequent servers.  

 

It would also serve to widen the gap from Guest#thingy to EoC.  This is not conducive to the overall health of the game or the community.

Hoping the mobile stam notification gets programmed back into the regular game. Please don't forget about us. 


Done being treated as a slave by those only out for money.

Hi Qloak,

 

This is yet to be reported but I'm afraid I cannot reproduce this issue. What potion are you trying to brew (Buffs, Level, Duration)? I can try creating the same potion and hopefully see the same issue you are.

Second major bug I found is that player reset is at 150FSP and after purchase, the price stays the same, but on the homepage the price has gone up.

Third is that the app lacks a  "refresh" button, I have to close to app go back to it to load, for instance buffs dont update, ladder dont update, and much more just wont refresh.

FSP market is missing "sell orders" Or I might be stupid

After combat message it only says you lost or that won, you cant go back to rewatch the duel.

 

Many of this might be coming next I dont really know, I have not kept eye on update, just updating the errors I found in the 2 days of playing with the app.

 

I will continue using it and update you.

How is a new server same as having alts? You are not suppose to have alts on the same server because of what you can achive and abuse.

 

I understand your issue, people spent thousasnds of dollars into the game and kept it going for so long but i FEAR how new players leave the game before they even start. Ranking matters for people, a catch up mechanic matters, and fallensword is not built that way.

 

Heres a scenario of a new player

 

Finds this cool game

Creates a new account

Start playing

Noticing chat

#RandomName Level:4111 says: "Hi guys"

And thats where u lost your new player.

 

 

The major problem is how much stuff you guys managed to collect (hoard) and how invaluable everything is in the game at the moment for a new player. There wont be a challange, a feel for achiving anything, everything will be lent out, best gear all the way to the end game, every buff every hunt at no cost. I am sorry to say but there is not much value left in anything for a new player besides "levling".

 

Levling for what? You wont ever catch up to the top players anyway.

 

I know many of you will disagree, and change is often not a welcome addition into a loved game, but I fear this is the truth.

 

EDIT

Just let people have a choice, have 2 servers, a fresh one and the old one and see how it progress.

No matter what game I play (and I play a bunch) only a small percentage of new players show up again after that first day.  This includes games where they add new servers for the "new" players.  I truly don't believe that adding 1 or a dozen servers for new players could be any better here than it is on those other games, which don't have safeguards in place such as level range restrictions for PvP, or helpful veterans in the community glad to lend a hand when needed as well as giving space for each individual to grow at their own pace.  

 

Even when FS was young, most new players rarely returned after their first day, and of those that did, a large number of them soon left for "better games"  This is fine, if FS is not their cup of tea, then it's right for them to move on to something that is.

There's more chance of  COVID-19 disappearing overnight without trace than multiple game servers (as in ones for newbies to start out on) being introduced....

Hi All,

 

I know the subject of a new server is a split one and there are good arguments to be made on both sides. We have visited this topic as a team on a number of occasions and will probably visit it again a few more times in the future, but at this point we do not believe a new server will be advantageous. We know this is not the decision that some of you are hoping for, but we hope you all respect it and continue to enjoy Fallen Sword for the game it is.

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you, but I have now looked into these things for you.

I tried creating a potion with the buffs you provided and also tried creating them with different potion duration's and am still failing to see any inconsistency's between the app and the browser... Would you be able to provide me a screenshot of both? Might be able to see whats going on from that.

Thanks for pointing this out. Looks like this is a display issue and the text is not updating on the purchase of player resets. This should be fixed in the next update. :)

We do have a refresh system in place but it is not yet implemented on every panel, If you pull down from the top of any page (if implemented) then the content will refresh. This however is not set up on the ladder or the buff panel yet, but for the most part it should be accessible. We will aim to have these implemented game wide for the next update.

Dont worry, you are not being stupid. This has yet to be implemented but will aim to have it done for the next update :)

The current log system in the app needs some work. We have plans on how to do this but havent yet got round to doing so yet. Im not entirely sure if it will be in the next update, but we are hoping to get it to you soon.
