Recently we have under gone drastic change here at TEW, A change for the better. We have become a united group of friends who stands victorious over past trials and tribulations. We would like to honor our players and our guilds accomplishments by changing our guild avatar for the first time in years. We will keep this tournament simple. The tournament is open to ALL players and ALL graphic shops located here in the forums. Do not hesitate to enter because no favorite "cards" will be played here. Each artist will have the same opportunity to win as the next. Now lets begin


1) Graphics will be judged upon:
*Graphical quality and detail
*Clarity or idea
*Composition of the elements used
*Originality


2) Rules and Regulations:
* NO TEXT SLAPPING - We obviously can tell a difference when a avatar is Made and when it is cropped and re sized with some lame text added. I can assure you these submissions will win nothing but frowns and laughs.
* NO USE OF OTHER ARTIST'S RENDERS - This is a form of cheating and cheating is never tolerated.
* NO LIMIT ON THE AMOUNT OF SUBMISSIONS - Since there are many ideas we have you can give as many submissions as you wish


3) What we are looking for:
*Inspirational terms to help with your submissions:
Eternity, Freshness, Break through, Reliability, Rebirth, Team, Respect, The new , Strength, Nerve, Wisdom, Courage
*Key objects:
a) Eternity related symbols : spheres, circles, Infinity symbol, rings
Ancient Architecture : Pyramids, obelisks, Landmarks in general

What we are are looking for is an avi with some abstract relevance to the notions and symbols mentioned above. For example, Using a picture of one or more warriors as the main theme is not something we would want. We would prefer if the avi remained gender neutral. For another example, we don't want an avi with the face of a frustrated warrior holding a sword and we wouldn't like to see a sexy looking amazon swimming in Eternal water under some star lit sky.. (lol, or would we? )


***Warriors, animals and mythical beasts can be used but be very very cautious on how you use them***



We understand that you are not interested in doing this just for a hand shake, the payout rate is as follows.
Grand Champion - 50 FSP!
Runner up - 30 FSP!
3rd Place - 20 FSP!


*$ After the winners have been selected you may be offered a reasonable stipend for your submission $ *



The duration of this tournament will be one month and all submissions are due within that time frame. Any submission posted after the date will be null and void. This tournament is being judged by our entire guild on our guilds forum (you will still post your images and graphics here). There will be no contact between artists and members in relation to this particular competition. If you have questions and concerns please submit those to me in game and I will submit them to the guild if I cannot answer alone or feel as if the guild should make the decision.

Can you clarify this? "NO USE OF OTHER ARTIST'S RENDERS " Are you wanting the artist to draw an original image?

I have seen people just copy or "path" a render and then use a different stock background. Kinda like stealing work or ideas I guess you can say.

The same thing can be said for stocks then. And if you're cutting off stocks and renders, you're expecting us to draw our own pieces ... and those generally sell for a good $50 easily.

I am expecting you not to COPY and PASTE others renders is all I meant. For example, layer 1 is a copy of spiderman and artist "A" applies shadow under is man boob and glow around is eyes. If I see that artist "B" has a layer 1 spiderman with shadow under man boob and glow around eyes I know that artist did not create this layer himself but that "CUT" or "Pathed" it out of anthers work. Kinda get what I am saying? lol... I did not mean to make this so complicated. Strike my previous statement and have at it. This was meant to be fun and if there is confusion coming from something I have posted please ignore it. Maybe that would work..However, if you feel you need to hand sketch or draw please feel free. that could be interesting and unique all on its own.

please clarify what kind of text you want on it...abbreviation, whole nine yards or should we decide for ourselves...

and as for the 'use of renders'...don't see what the fuss is all about
