#963848 Development Update

Posted by davidutz on 02 June 2016 - 08:28

1.  make it open   end ...  let players stil get exp   with lets say 80 % penalty

2 .  add some recipes of   potions  with ubber 1 h stats  and a truck load  of mats u need to farm / gather / kill to get

3 . add a  random  drop chance for  big gems to all lvl  mobs

4.  give some kind  of Bonus  to players  for recruiting  other players  in EP   not crap

5. just put 1   person on developing recipes  for stuff  (  " fluff  " )   that  will listen to the comunity

i think that with a MINIMAL  effort a game this nice  will  pass  FS   in the long run  and remember  if FS  dyes ..  u got nothing to  relay on  ... never keep  all  your eggs in 1  basket

#956508 idea: indentify quest item

add new context menu option on right-clicking quest items "identify"  - opens your quest book on quest to which the item is related.

#887596 Adjust Loot Sparkles (UPDATED)

Posted by ernzor on 27 August 2014 - 22:50

Also change bag drop colors when you take out an item (say fusion powder) in a bag with more than one items. SO if you get a FP and a mundane and you take the FP. change the color to grey.

Or at least let us destroy bags. Could be another use for torches...

#883448 New WB that punishes afk

Posted by ernzor on 03 August 2014 - 02:38

Firstly there is a problem with people not working as part of the team in WBs. This isnt a topic about changing current mechanics, but an idea for a new WB with mechanics to prevent it. Whether these can be used throughout other WBs or not I dont know if it would work.

Sample Mechanics.

- Basic attacks heal boss (this will mean no afk attacking and force people to use skills)

- Boss will notice if you stand still for more than a minute and cast 'statue' on you. This will turn you into a stone statue and you can only then be smashed by another player (causing freedom and health reduced to 1hp). While a statue you dont get a roll in any loot. The players can all decide whether to leave you as a statue till after loot rolls or to smash and free you.

Any other ideas to add on, go...

#845313 My Ideas by ChelseaBrick

Guys we can argue this until we are blue in the face, it will not do any good.

The fact is the Exclusive to Founder Pack items are discontinued, are here to stay and are not bound until learned/equipped or whatever, so can be traded.

A player can charge any price he likes for any item. Something that has little or no value to one player, will have huge value to another and that is a personal choice.

I am not ashamed to admit that I saw an opportunity and grabbed it with both hands, I planned this before release (I'm pretty sure Neon did too). I aimed to buy as many founder items as possible, from players who had no interest in pets, vanity etc. as I knew there would be a market for these items in the future, purely for the "rarity" factor if nothing else.

Would I pay 100k EP for a Pet and learn it myself? Never. That does not mean I do not understand and respect the fact that some players love these kind of things and will be prepared to pay a premium, that is their choice and idea of fun, so good luck to them in their collections.

I respect that some of you who have posted in this thread will not see this from my point of view, but I really do not see any problem with it. If someone wants to pay a premium to own a "shiny" that has no effect on gameplay, where is the harm in it? Please explain this to me if you can, as I really have no idea what is wrong with this.

Lets not turn this into a bashing war, it does no good to anyone.

#839150 Need an optional setting for item inspection

Posted by Nature on 10 January 2014 - 02:10

I'm cool with the idea of letting your equipment and the general item stat hang out and such, but i wish there's more.

An inspection on/off setting: which will give ones option whether he/she want to let other people inspect them or not, or at least a pop up window ask the player for permission ( to avoid being harassed by the pop up window you can only inspect the same person once in 5 mins that way will stop people from abusing the pop up window.)

or

hide the gem and bonus stat. I mean like everyone knows the item from crafting or in shop. so there no need to hide the general stat. but what makes an item unique from another is what gem you put in. and the random stat bonus. wheres the fun of letting everyone knows what you have? it would be more fun to keep each other guessing and ask questions (I really hope HC will make an update about in-game equipment. whats the fun when your level 40 items are the same as everyone else?) and everyone's stats r equally match?  what can make a certain player who put more time and effort into the game stand out more??

And please do not make inspect talent/stat option in the near future. this will only discourage in-game player to player communication. whats the fun of inspecting someone to find out the answer when u can have a conversation and share knowledge?

that's just my point of view. feel free to leave comment about yours.

#820681 Pricing Changes

I wonder what we're going to be talking about at the studio tomorrow :D

We are absolutely paying attention to all the feedback. This is the great thing about having you guys willing to test the game at the 11th hour :)

I expect that the changes in sell/repair costs have had a larger effect than was intended, we'll know more when we bash everyones heads together tomorrow.

#815143 remove the "blue dot"

Posted by rowbet on 06 October 2013 - 12:34

I'm a fan of the blue dot (though I'd call it purple). I'd hate to see it go. The world is sufficiently complex that, for many quests (particularly those that walk you over many maps) I would have given up long ago. I could see some value in having some quests that weren't so directed, but the text would need to become much clearer than it is at present.

There also needs to be some recognition of the difference in difficulty for those who play all the time vs those who play more spasmodically. The latter don't get so familiar with the maps and so would find the quests much harder without the purple dots to guide them.

And, as ever, you can choose to ignore the dots if you wish to - but you can't choose to use them if they aren't there. Perhaps the best solution is an option to switch them off. The each player can play in the way they find most enjoyable.

#813314 Friends list improvements

Posted by ernzor on 26 September 2013 - 05:22

1. Can we please make it bigger. Either increase everyones, or give us an item in the mystic market to purchase (multiple of) to increase it.

2. People have asked for the main character names to be shown either before or after alternate character names. Rather than doing that can we have the option to add some text either before or after someones name as an identifier. This way we can know who the characters are alts of if they tell us, and people can continue being anonymous if they want to.

3. Can we have a mouse over with info like, level, location, build type (like the one you get shown when joining a dungeon) etc.

4. Did I say make it bigger?

#812946 NON optional mass Boss dungeons for Dungon lovers.

Posted by Alpion on 23 September 2013 - 20:05

There is a nice quest at the Tree of life where you are to beat 5 spirits. Just loved that little Terra at the end. Perhaps that is the most interesting and not boring quest i ever seen in whole game.

Then this is not the game for you.  There are so many enjoyable and AWESOME quests throughout the game that this comment is actually a slap in the face to the developers.

You keep adding suggestions for PvP or dungeon killing for uber rewards, which is fine...but you fail to see the other side of the game.  Dungeons already have the best rewards in the game.  There is no point for crafting as it is now, as nothing you create is worth anything compared to dungeons.  The crafted heroics are pointless as to the time it takes to make them.  If anything, there needs to be more balance put forward in terms of crafting and not so much time spent with instance dungeons and PvP.

I don't care for PvP, but I will take part in it.  It's an aspect of any game I play.  But in no game I have played is it ever the most important aspect that it needs more attention than anything else.  Every game I've played that has succeeded has been because of a high level of questing and crafting, with group dungeons and PvP as an enhancement, but not overpowerment to the game.

#811492 Manners Maketh Man

Posted by Fizban on 14 September 2013 - 13:06

Seeing as there are more new players that don't understand the concept of courtesy, i think this thread need s a bump, also i have noticed older players still not quite grasping the idea of what is right and what is not, please do not assist a player by attacking their target or healing them without asking them first (see xp gathering) and please send a message stating what a group invite is for before sending the said invite, respect another players views if he or she does not want to do certain instances etc and not costantly barrage them with invites or keep asking them to do to3, amun dragon etc, each player has his/her own preferences on playstyle, name and shame thread will be starting real soon if players continue with the rudeness.
