i would hope that, in the interests of getting live one-on-one feedback, a friend or family member is/has been invited to play the game
someone with the extra free time y'all don't have
this person could then give some face-to-face feedback regarding some of the issues players have posted in forum

Given how busy the team are working on all of the games ( and having a life ) i can understand how finding time to actively participate in the game would be difficult. As long as the forum is being checked regularly, surely any problems that arise ( things get posted pretty quickly when there's something wrong ) are going to be spotted and dealt with by the staff ? Obviously this doesn't compare with personal experience but it's the next best thing.

boggles my mind that there are still "black map screen" posts in forum - a year since the "new and improved" map was introduced
wondering how many new players have not gone to forum when seeing a black map, just shrugged their shoulders and quit - a game forum can be intimidating to a new player
instructions for what ever steps need to be taken to resolve the black screen map for players should be added on the "create new character" page, as well as such info as the preferred browser, etc.

To answer what you'd originally posted, i honestly wouldn't know and was making a post on pure supposition which was why i'd added the question mark at the end of my sentence, because i don't know but that was what i assumed, evidently i was wrong.
Indeed it can, no need to post though, just view and the vast majority of answers are there.
I've never had any technical problems with the game so i couldn't comment on that but if it's an on-going problem that hasn't been dealt with, your solution sounds fair.

And maybe HCS plays some games (maybe not FS, but maybe SS2, Eldevin, I don't know) with other chars, and use the ones we know just to test the game, etc...Maybe they're human too =P
