Something isn't right with % increased attack power and DPS when stacking with food and potions. First of all, the +5% damage obelisk has no effect on me whatsoever. If I take it without any buffs active, nothing happens to my DPS, even after I take ranged food (+30), ranged elixir (+15% ranged), or attack power draft (+15% attack power).

So, after I've taken my food, elixir and attack power draft, my attack power and DPS are 19792 and 1544.4. But when I go to log out and back in again, it drops to 19703 and 1539.8?

The dmg obelisk has no VISIBLE effect, but you do get the DPS boost.

The reason for the difference in DPS is the order the buffs are being applied. It looks like when you relogged the food buff was applied last, so you got no boosts applied to that from the potions.

the 5% damage doesn't add to bleed(tested).

it does add damage to skill and normal hit, tested this before last update.

@ Dmg obelisk

It adds 5% 'Damage'

Damage ≠ DPS

The ob adds 5% at very end to damage count, it isn't a boost to attack power or DPS directly. So your damage formula with damage obelisk is generically:

([Base DPS * DPS factors] * skillfactor)*1.05 = damage

Your ranged pot, food, and attack pot go under 'DPS factors', and the 5% damage is tacked on the end of whatever you are casting at the time.

Why bleeds are disregarded, I have no idea.

Why you get a different boost when re-logging is also strange, the effects should be cumulative.

Rake answered this above. The order in which you consume food/pots etc. affects the order in which they are applied and therefore the overall dps. Log out and back in and the order changes, presumably to an inbuilt default.

soo not sure I am understanding this but are you saying we should take food and pots and obe's in a certain order?

if that is the case can you tell me what that order should be?

I never thought about this and just pop them on in no specfic order.

Slow but steady wins the race or something like that.

I'm just taking it slow, not sure about the steady.

Ah, I see:

Expanding on this formula above:

([Base DPS * DPS factors] * skillfactor)*1.05 = damage

Is your attack power formula this:
(M/R/S + food M/R/S) * Potion factor * 16 = Attack Power
or
(M/R/S*Potion Factor + food M/R/S) * 16 = Attack Power

With the rest not mattering:
Attack Power * Potion * factor = DPS
DPS * Skill Factor * Obelisk Factor * Crit Factor = Damage

@ Bliss
In general, it would seem you should use static boosters ( + a number ) before percentage boosters (+%), or food before potions.

It would be nice if this didn't matter.
