A way to convert gold into EP

I believe a good way to help take gold out of the system would be having an in game option to be able to convert gold into EP. So HCS are ahead, make the conversation rate greater then the current EP to gold ratio which is 10/1. Have your conversation rate at something like 1.5 to 2g for 10EP. 

 

This will help pure F2P users get much needed items like sacks, will give them more reason to play and grind gold as they can get the vanity sets themselves without going through a third party and will help remove the stigma that you have to pay to win. Of course you don't have to pay to win but any game with a cash shop holds such a stereotype. 

 

It's good for the game, good for the company and good for the player.

HCS offers 10-12.5 silver : 1 EP.  Players are buying from them at that rate.

 

Offer desired goods or 13-14s : 1 EP and they will probably buy from you instead.

 

The system works because someone had to pay $$ for those EP.  I don't see how HCS can feed their families by selling EP for in-game gold.

Well eventually they're going to have to add ways to remove gold from the system or people will cap out and have nothing to buy, in turn inflating prices and ruining the economy. 

 

I'm not saying this is the only way but it certainly is one way. Maybe you make it so you can only covert X amount of gold to EP a day and again it would be at a higher ratio then just buying it with money. This means people who want a lot of EP quickly and conveniently will still buy it, and people who just want the odd Sack or 2 every couple of days can do so with out having to find someone with EP, getting them to buy it and then trading them at whatever the current ratio is at the time.

thats maybe sure, but what you were asking for does simple turns that way too, just farm and earn alot of gold and change it for EP? where will they earn their Money if people arnt spending Money for the game?

That's why I said you could have a limit to how much you can covert per day, therefore giving you an incentive to buy in bulk for actual money. It makes sense seeing as they give you EP in an incremental manner just for subbing, 350 a month + 50 for every month subbed. 

 

You yourself said you can just farm a lot of gold and convert it to EP, but you'de have to convert it via another player as opposed to doing it directly with the company. One way keeps gold in the system the other removes it, therefore keeping the value of gold meaningful. 

 

The people spending more then $5 a week on Eldevin arn't going to worry about converting up 100 EP and waiting a week for the item they want, they'de just buy the amount of EP required and get it on the day. The free to play user however would be happy to convert that 100 EP a day and wait a week to get that vanity item/bag/emote or whatever else they want. Plus it would give them a sense of achievement having earnt the item, as well as keeping the population going as they would be required to log on and play.
