my potion is 96% complete, but still instant finish gold cost is 576,000 ? This cost should be less according to the time i think.

So far I am loving it. I'm just wondering how long before we will be able to upgrade and compose 2 pots at the same time...
I also love some of the suggestions here such as the ability to have it remember previous potions and easily recall them to create another identical. Perhaps have a check box (default un-checkied) to remember this pot in case it's one we might want to make multiples of.
I also like the idea for the instant finish cost to reduce as the clock ticks away. Of course, you will want to put limits on this to help reduce it being abused so that (for example) with half the timeremaining on the clock, the cost to instant finish could be 60% -70% the original cost rather than an equal precentage.
Again, I love this addition

Just tweaked it so the gold cost to instantly complete it scales better (i.e so it costs less the further the progress on the potion is)

Thanks Hoof. I notice that on my current composing potion

Hoof,
I started a 300 min potion and the cost was...
You can create this potion instantly for a cost of 23,040,000 gold
about 20 minutes later...
You can create this potion instantly for a cost of 30,624,000 gold
now a couple min later....
You can create this potion instantly for a cost of 30,336,000 gold

I think the cost is scales by time now. did u start composing before hoof scales it ? if so, then when u will start create the next potion it will work fine. Mine is working well (i.e cost is decreasing according to the time).

I waslooking in the guild tagged item report - all my pots say "Composing Item" but if you hover over it you can then see the name. Is there any plans to have the created name there in the near future?

Is there any information about what buffs/levels will become available beyond level 2? Or about how much XP is required for higher levels.
From a bit of testing, it seems that XP is unaffected by potion level, but is linear in potion duration. Does anyone know any better?

Great stuff, love the making up our own names, my first potion was a glass of whine, too bad it is bound cause i know some people that seriously love whine ...
anyways
Question about the selection of skills and XP. Do we get more different skills and higher levels with higher composing-XP or is it still a small selection because it is just released. (this is probably explained in a different thread for wich i will look)

at what level does it actually become useful to ppl at eoc in terms of a decent lvl potion? i gather you start off with the useless rubbish once you move to next composing lvl more options open up but at what lvl do the potions get to the lvl 200-300 ones and is there a final list so we can actuually see what we can make and what lvl of composing...with the instant potion option it still starts draining alot of gold once you made a few this was ment to be a item sink not a gold sink we have more then enough of them..heck my level i make no gold at all with cost of quest junk as it is.

My first thought was similar, but then thought about the unbalancing of the game if lots of high level buffs were suddenly made available to virtually all players. On balance, I realised that there had to be a slow release of the "useful" buffs with composing. In that sense, this is not a gold sink, it is enforcing a slow down, and the extremely rapid increase in instant-composing cost after the first couple each day strikes me as very sensible.

because it's soOOOOOooooooo hard to make FSP/Gold at EOC
Oddly enough, I'd find it much easier to make gold if I lost a few hundred levels or more. Creatures at EOC drop 2/3 the amount of gold that creatures at your level do (indeed, 2/3 the amount of gold that level 300 creatures drop), and the rate of new content release makes hunting for gold even less efficient.
[That is not a whinge, by the way. Merely a statement of fact. I am, after all, at EOC by choice.]

i did tell you to stop trolling but had a change of heart.. unless you sell buffs or potions or sell fsp its hard to get gold i used to save my gold from leveling and use it for scavenging..then hcs in there wisdom started upping costs of quest junk to extreme prices now when you level and do the quests it can empty your bank pretty fast plus dip into your fsp.. at lower levels you make gold at higher ones you dont..now i choose to play near eoc ..and i get the need for gold sinks but not everything has to be a gold sink ..so yes it is hard to get gold at EOC seeing what gold you do get is eaten by the quests you do

Great HCS!
One question though. Is distil/BrewingMaster/reckoning work with these pots? What was/is the final verdict?
