Classic Map & Titan Hunting

A few days ago I saw an Ogalith (Titan) spawn and I called my guildmates to hunt it.

Me and 8 guild members joined this hunt, and it was going all good. With the current system, a guild needs 50% of the kills or more to secure a drop, and it seemed that it was going to happen as there was only other player competing with the 9 of us. After a few minutes hunting it that player managed to give us real competition... He was everywhere, no matter where the ogalith spawned. With 1~2 seconds he was able to "walk" from one corner of the map to the oposite corner.

Walking at that speed is not possible with the New World Map on FallenSword, so he was obviously using the old map.

At the very end of the hunting, we were able to achieve more than 50% of the kills because the that Player gave up.

The Titan Hunting is supposed to be a team effort, we had 9 of the best titan hunters of the game online and one player was able to beat them all with the Classic Map. This has been already asked before many times for various players but I will ask again, please make the titans NOT spawn at the Classic Map, or remove it from play.

Because not all of FallenSword players have godly internet speed. In fact, just a few people from my guild uses the old map to Titan HuntIf the old map is so much faster, and your guild wanted to be even more competitive, why didn't your guild hunt on the old map?
How about fairness?What more can you want than a secured win?

Super connection players vs Slow connection still not even on new map tho .. less ping will always beat high ping.
I suggest
1. Make it possible to multi click on titans without using "0" to refresh >>http://forum.fallens...hp?f=1&t=106290
2. Remove delay on killing titan on new map but keep it on old map win-win for players who like old map and who like new map

That sounds like an easy and simple fix.
However, if that's not possible, make titan hunting even across the board. It just doesn't appear to be an even playing field when using old map vs. new map...
Let this be the main focus on this discussion. Not ban old map because you can move faster.
If players like to use old map, it is up to them to use it, but I don't like using old map and shouldn't be forced to use it just to keep up with competition...

A level playing field is what HCS need to provide. Whether that is turning off the old map for Titan hunting, or making the new map faster, or something else no-one here has thought of yet.

You must be dont know LW script applied to game codes by hoof before long time :wink:agree ++++++++++. Just remove titans from the old map. Leave the old map there if anyone wants to hunt. i don't see how people claim they can hunt faster using the old map if they have to move one square than wait for refresh than another one.( unless they use scripts to sends multiple commands to the server). Anyway fastwalk from fshelper should be remove also as its allow you to move more than 1 steps at a time.
You can move multiple spots without any script
At the end i think better do something like i said in previous post... give new map more advantage to make it even.
we don't want to force players to play certain aspect on new way,they accepted to play this game on old way unless you would like them to get out of game

1. Since I think the new map cannot be sped up, slow down the old map when walking multiple squares. Add a delay, like 1/2 second per square (or whatever you guys figure out the comparable time it takes to walk from one square to the next in the new map) when walking past multiple square in the old map. So like if a person enters a command to walk 10 squares on the old map, it would wait 5 seconds before displaying the world on the end square. I think this would work because walking multiple squares is only used for titan hunting. It is not used for regular hunting because you need to see and kill the monsters on each square, and it is not used for SE hunting because you need to see the monsters before walking on to the next square. It would be a minor annoyance to people just trying to walk through an area to the next area. Perhaps the delay would only be in effect if there is a titan on the map.
2. I'm not sure exactly how the scripts work, but I imagine they watch the map for a change and that change is where the titan is. I think the maps like Plague Mist Isles with the animated water on the map interferes with the script. So I think adding some animation to all the titan world areas would be a quick and easy way to disable the script, if this is how they works. This would not fix any imbalance between the old map and new map if no script is being used or if this is not how scripts work. Maybe someone who has more knowledge about how the now deemed illegal scripts worked could say if this would disable them, and or what would disable them
