It have been nerfed, and the tank have nothing to do with it, its all healer

Ye olde Octoboss has been nerfed several times since release day. In the last patch his damage output was decreased roughly 1/3rd across the board.

 

Yes, he can still pose a problem to low-armor characters with low HP. Consider grabbing the Obelisk buff from Northam before running To3 if you're having trouble surviving his attacks.

 

Timing your Redemption/Plasma Shield for optimal reduction also helps. His attacks follow a set pattern, and using good tactical sense with your defensive skills can mitigate a lot of its damage!

 

I had a tutorial video about him, but unfortunately twitch ate it.

Nerfed octo sevral time's simple challenge kill need good healer, Crimson chain Spirit keep most team meber near bey so get best aoe healing skill off in time, Good option octo use steel on hit weapon during fight.

 

Octo most come down to healer, Tank has it job Healer need use all aoe skill's Bad healer fail DGN not so much tank with octo.

 

Tip is use blind 25% reduction to att each meber roated it, If can use shield use skill for another 25%

 

Tip 50% reduction timed tright snowfall healer skill, Keep up reption on yiur self for another 10% reduction

 

Keep mind Octo most healer need keep up.

the octo really isn't hard now. just all players should stand very close to each other/very close to boss. since his attacks are all aoe and no matter where you stand you'll be in range no point standing far off.

 

but yeah dont need any vit added to survive the octo at lvl 34 IF healer uses crimson and ancestral (and if they are 35+ darkprayer aswell)

should try it now, they nerfed it pretty hard. its rather easy now. just have to know the fights.

well i am 45 so i'd imagine it wouldn't be so bad.. but at level... i really don't think i'll take any of my chars through there

Anima to3 has been nerfed already, i did it before the nerf with 2 healers(they NEEDED snowstorm for a a level =~ 36 party), after the nerf one healer was always enough,

 

Dont forget you have blind if 3 members of your team have blind then you can go a great part of the figh without all the hassle because one crimson chain is enough to heal all hp lost if blinded at level 36 with a full sorc prophet.

 

Dont be shy of testing crimson chain with the prophet make a line that link before calling the octopuss.

 

Again blind can be expensive but will make the fight easier, prophet must wear at all times possible redemption or be in the ink-possible spot, if you want to abuse this spot you need to further test crimson chain to be sure that is hits.

 

 

EDIT:before the nerf one critical wave would kill dps or healer if he was not blind or the char protected(redempetion...), that critical wave was complicated to survive so i dont know how lucid duo'd the octo before the nerf.

Squid boss is the most creative boss I've seen so far in this game.  The damage it deals should stay the same.  No more nerfs.

It's one of the few bosses that isn't just tank and spank, it requires strategy
