How are some ways we can advertise Fallen Sword across the web to bring in new players? I for one miss how big the player base and how crazy the economy and the atmosphere of the game used to be.

we could pool our money...collect some thousands of dollars, and buy ad space on sites that advertise online browser games

Many of the "voting" sites are still active, and most will accept referral links for free
You can also share to FB, Twitter, and what have you.

Word of mouth is still a viable way to bring people in. Tell your real life friends and acquaintances about the game, and if they are interested, give them the link.

I remember few years ago it was always around 3k online. Maybe for older players the number of online ppl was even bigger.

I'm not sure if its on steam yet, but if its not, it could be a good idea. Steam for Pc, google App Store for Android and the specific Apple App Store I forgot the name :P

Everything is a good way to get people, I just love the potential to this game and the open market feel of everything. Like Wes said he can remember when thousands of people were online at one time and so do I. I remember during LEs the lag being so bad because of how over loaded the servers were. lol. I miss those days, just wish that thru better advertisement we could once again bring back that player base.

They could start by updating the home page of the game. The "already have an account? Click here to log in" is buried on chrome 1080p screens. Also there's quite a bunch of blank space there.

(Btw, maybe even turning the game into a facebook game would be a good idea)

That would more than likely be a display issue that pertains to you. My sign in screen does not look that barren. And there's a huge LOGIN at the very top.

That said, it probably could use a makeover, some rewording and new art, things like that.

As to appearing on Steam, as you mentioned earlier, HCS has games on Steam now, including Eldevin. Those of us on a mobile platform have no Steam to play. An app is in development, there's a very active thread about it here. And I tell you this, I abhor the Facebook platform for games. Its aggravating, as FB has its very own lag that makes FS look like a speed demon on it's laggiest day, and there's all those annoying ads on the side. For those reasons, I VOTE NO TO FACEBOOK FOR PLAY! However, those of us with a plethora of FB friends could share our referral link from time to time in our status. 75% of my referrals came from sharing on FB and Twitter.
