Just a thought... To me it would make sense that in the gold tournaments the runner-up should atleast win the entry fee back. In the token tournies u get tokens for basically joining the tournie but in the gold tournies u get a big nothing unless u win. Seems fair to me that the runner-up should get a tiny compensation.

this 48 hr composing event was an awesome surprise!!! Thanks cows!! tossing a 48 hr event in there every so often is cool! 

DOUBLE COMPOSING XP IS AWESOME!!! THANKS COWS!!! I think that the 24 hours to do so is plenty of time and will help a lot of ppl and keep them interested in lvling up in composing! looking forward to the next double composing xp day! 

more tournaments for all lvls may be a start.. but only that... some tournaments take hours and even DAYS to fill... 95% of the fs community has lost interest in the arena... no matter what lvl range i play i seem to run into the same 5-8 players ALL the time! I don't know how to solve the big picture but more tournaments in specific lvl ranges for all to join seems like a good start... arena players/addicts please post your comments/suggestions. we need to keep these arena threads alive! 

seems like a neat idea to me! lets try it out! with the timers on the items, no matter how they were obtained (pvp arena, ladder, chest etc) players who obtained them would either be able to make some fsps by selling or gain an advantage in a certain aspect of the game for a limited time... seems neat! 

Awesome Update!!! THANKS A BUNCH HOOF!!!!  now we just have to figure out how to get things moving in the arena and how to make some of the prizes/items worth something again....  going to be a process but this is a great start by bringing back the gold tournies! and im loving the feedback in the thread so far too! keep up the chatter about the arena and keep throwing ideas/suggestions out there ppl!!! 

Some Neat Ideas In There.. ESPECIALLY For The ARENA!!! but it seems that no matter how many ppl who used to love the arena and play it alot keep mentioning how to make some improvements they go ignored.  SOOO many ppl want gold tournaments to come back and we dont understand why this keeps getting turned down..... 

 

dont get me wrong i love a lot of the new stuff happening in the game (Global events, LEs, SEs and such) but I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY miss the old days of the arena! 

I miss the old days of the arena... frantically checking for new tournaments every 15 minutes and hoping to join in time to win that awesome prize... or that 1 mil gold that would go directly into your bank... used to be so much fun... i was beyond addicted!!! but now im lucky if i join 12 tournaments in a week... tournies take forever to fill... nobody seems to care anymore and there is basically no profit to be made (which no matter what people will tell u always played a factor in things)... and the tokens have become useless because all the items that can be bought with them are now SUPER CHEAP... except to exchange for gold which is boring and isnt the same as winning a gold tournament and having it go right to your bank (for of us that only have 1 deposit a day)... im not really sure what can be done to fix any or all of the issues with the arena but its sad to see what it has come to.... 

how about a potion that would allow you the chance to save fragments when composing potions, sort of like extractor II or inventor II and how they have a % chance to save items/components... or a pot that has a chance to instantly finish a composing  potion at no extra cost? 

i joined a lvl 1400 tournament earlier today and i was the 15th person to join.. it took 6 hours for the last person to join.. thats really really sad!!! as shindrak said maybe ppl arent playing arena anymore or are not playing it nearly as much as they used to.. there is no excitement in it anymore and ppl cant be bothered to join.... o well what can u do... hopefully some more improvements or upgrades are on the horizon!!! lots of things have been suggested.... hope it goes somewhere 

I think having a mix of straight gold tournaments as well as token tournaments is a good idea! gotta give the +1 to brice and dulcharn and anyone else that may have asked that we get the gold tournies back!!! 

hmm should i spend 10 tokens which is worth 40K gold to buy EW 1K in the arena store or spend 17K gold in the bazaar... its a tough one.. thoughts welcome....

can the TOTALLY RANDOM 2% BOGUS HITS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be removed/fixed in the arena... ive been losing to 2% ALL DAY EVERYDAY and its really really annoying!!!! 

wouldnt it be great if people could be locked out of a certain thread somehow for going and and on and on about NOTHING!!! and yes please come home cows we have treats haha... 

i would say leave the token for gold exchange rate right where it is to help out some of the lower lvl players to encourage them to dabble in the arena to try and win a few tokens or become really good at it so they can increase their gold stashes as well... thus also bringing back gold tournies... whats wrong with gold??? lol
