It's been a spectacular 10 years! I myself have made many friends. A few of them even continue to play FS!

In July of 2010 we had our first shot at Double experience. It lasted for 24 hours. Then in December the following year we had a Three Times Experience event! That one lasted for 72 hours. Which was truly awesome for many individuals. Even though there were severe bouts of Lag. I myself didn't level very much. Was only able to get one during the last 24 hours and didn't accomplish very much because the lag was so severe. Still a Tremendous Event!

Then the following two years we had Two 2X events. Both in June and December. All four of them lasted for 48 hours. :-)

Then in 2014 we had our June 2X Event, that got push to 72 hours. Then in Dec. it got stretched to 96 hours. Awesome!

Last year there was so much talk on the forums about a Two Times Experience event that. That many players and some of the Cows, started ribbing players about how it wasn't essential or mandatory that we get That kind of Event. All good fun!

Both events last year. In June and December, lasted for 96 hours. Last year many players, after the second 2X event kicked off. Started threads in the Forum about how they could NOT manage their Stam. The Halloween event had ended, then we had a frag event at the end of November. Then the Christmas Realm opened, and the Christmas Titans were out. They can please some of the players some of the time. They cannot please all the players all the time. I am kind of curious as to what Kind of Event we may experience this year, because of the 10-year anniversary.

And I'm looking forward to the 2X Experience Event

Not quite sure why you put in all that blurb about 2xp / 3xp events.

 

I'm sure (well, I'm hopeful, let's put it that way) that there'll be "something" for the 10 yr anniversary, but I'd say an XP event this month and then, potentially, another next month is complete overkill.

That is hopefully not going to happen. I hope myself that there is no XP event for this anniversary. 2 per year is more than enough.

If anyone would suggest or even think that the Cows would have 2 events. Must have bought their way to where they're at now and haven't played as much as Die Hard full timers. Obviously they don't have a sense of anything that would be practical. I know that is not what I suggested when I made my post. I was looking forward to the end of the year. I can't wait to see what they have store.

yes I totally agree two is enough. Now I have to question why would you say what you said. We have only had one thus far this year. That started on the 30th of June. When I suggested that we may have an anniversary Event to celebrate 10 years. And that it may include a double experience event. Do you guys believe that I would suggest that we have two of them one now and one next month. That is totally absurd. I would have to question your IQ.

Before they have any exp event they need to fix the servers too allow it to happen. I would hate to have a recap of last year where most people couldnt even hunt...

Personally, I'd hope that HCS does zero for the "10 year" ridiculousness. It's not at all relevant. 

 

I would hope they concentrate on a lot of the pending issues for the game.

The PERFECT 10 yr anniversary would be to fix all bugs, have the mobile interface completed and released and have all missing quests installed

Mobile interface is an interesting one, how do you track multies moving from Tower to tower to access the game it opens up a massive can of worms of abuse.

 

So while it may attract more accounts you will probably already know a good proportion of them.

I am pretty sure that any other time a player brings up the Storybook Quest or Quango Island. You are the first to post a reply in the Cows defense. Stating what BG has already stated before. They are working on them to bring them up to EOC.

The Storybook quest have not been updated since 2011 and was last released in 2013. I too hope they're being worked on.

An Epic Quest to accompany the Double xp event at Xmas would put the icing on the cake.

 

We should leave the initiative to HCS and see how they want to celebrate the awesome 10-year anniversary.

I am pretty sure that any other time a player brings up the Storybook Quest or Quango Island. You are the first to post a reply in the Cows defense. Stating what BG has already stated before. They are working on them to bring them up to EOC.
The Storybook quest have not been updated since 2011 and was last released in 2013. I too hope they're being worked on.

I was inactive from mid 2011 to mid 2014. I have yet to start the storybook quests, as they were added during that period. Same goes for Quango Island......

I don't mind having unstarted quests above my level, as I know I have to work towards that goal, but it drives me nuts that I have so many "special" quests at or below that point that I have never had the opportunity to experience.

I'd love for the guys at the top to have new things to do, it is their due, after all, but I feel like a middle child here, neither the baby to have my hand held till I'm steady on my feet, nor a big kid, about to set off into the world.

As to defending the cows about Present Darkness, it's been well over a year since it was said that it had been "sent for artwork". I have to admit I have become antsy about it staring at me every time I open the questbook page...

Well you see, what had happened was...

Last year we had Dragons Reborn GE. On top of That. They had Flight of Dragons LE I, II and III waves. Plus a Double Experience Event. Forest of Yule opened. With Two New Titans. The Colossal Snowman and Jolakott. Plus the release of new Content from 2701 to 2825.

Not sure if they can top that. But yeah, would love to see it. Not sure if players will complain any less than last year. That there is to much for them to do

There was a lot to do last year, but you need to have a pretty large stam bank to want to stop events 3-4 weeks before they are likely to start.

 

Those with lesser stam-baks and smaller backpacks would probably love to have a hunting-chest GE about 1-1.5 weeks before the Christmas fun begins.

Well it's already been a great kick off to the end of the year. Just look at the controversy these low level Tiered Epics are creating among the EOC players. So Sad

Well, Halloween was upgraded as usual, and we'll be doing the same with Christmas as always. We always have more stuff on the way.
